Morgan’s POV

After the call from Xavier on the day my mate was taken, I knew without a doubt that I would need help finding her.

We tried for three more days to break through the wards of magic that surrounded the path that led us to finding Alora, but to no avail.

As we got home on the third night, I was exhausted physically, emotionally, and mentally. I could feel Alora calling out to me in my dreams every f**king night.

Last night was worse.

In the dream, she was curled up in a fetal position, cold and alone.

I had promised to save her and that I would do it even if it was the last thing I did.

How did it come to this?

How had I been so careless to let Xavier have his way with my mate? What if he carried on with his trait?

“Call in the fae, and he should be here first thing in the morning”, I mind-linked Harry through the pack link.

“But the fae is only called in when there is a…” Harry tried to argue.

“This is war Harry. I cut him off. “Apart from harm coming to my mate, you know w

  • Alora: My Hybrid Luna   CHAPTER 55: Luna Blood

Alora’s POV“Chula, what happened in school?” Morgan asked, staring at me with hooded eyes.“How…how do you know something happened in school”? I asked, looking up at Selene.“I felt it,” she replied. My stomach dipped. “Alora?” Morgan drew closer, eyes searching mine.I swallowed hard. The memory came crashing in like a wave. The sharp glint of the scalpel. The sting. The blood. The boy at the back“I had an accident,” I started, my voice small and uncertain. During lab class. I cut myself with the scalpel I was using, just a small cut, but… something happened when my blood hit the table.”Morgan’s eyes widened and Selene’s face paled. “What happened after”? They both said in unison.“Everyone froze. Not like normal shock…frozen. Still. Eyes blank. Like time just… stopped. Except a few people at the back. Two of them…they dropped to their knees. Literally dropped. And bared their necks to me.”Morgan inhaled sharply through his nose.I pushed forward. “It was like… they didn’t know

  • Alora: My Hybrid Luna   CHAPTER 54: Mixed Signals

Alora's POVAs soon as we got close to the house, I knew why Selene had called me back. His scent was everywhere, invading my nostrils and causing a stir in my insides.Morgan.I turned to Selene.“He’s been waiting for hours”I nodded and stepped out of the vehicle.I got to the door, and the scent hit harder. My knees nearly buckled.Nyx whimpered in my chest. He’s here. He’s here.I took a shaky step forward, and then something else brushed against my senses. A soft hum. A strange familiar warmth enveloped me.I opened the door and walked in. There he was Alpha MorganLeaning against the far wall like a soldier on edge. His arms were crossed against his chest, his jaw was tight, and he was looking out across the glass. As I closed the door, he turned and stared at me for a second before his jaw clenched, and he turned back to the glass. And beside him stood a boy.Leo.He smiled at me and whispered “Luna”My heart soared, and I felt warmth spread through my chest. “Leo” I breath

  • Alora: My Hybrid Luna   CHAPTER 53: What Am I?

Alora’s POVI woke up drenched in sweat. My skin was hot as fire, and yet, I was shivering. Shivering from the cold air blasting away from the air conditioner that I forgot to turn down.As I made my way to turn down the AC, my leg gave way and I fell back in bed.Instinctively, my hands moved to the hollow at the base of my neck. It was pulsing like it had a heartbeat of its own. I pressed my fingers against it, hoping to soothe the ache.It only throbbed harder.Like it was alive.“Nyx?” I whispered in a shaky voice.Unlike my sassy little thing, she didn’t answer. She just rolled around in circles, disoriented.Something was wrong with me, and it was affecting my wolf.I reached for my phone, but it was dead because I forgot to charge it.I tried reaching out through the mindlink to Selene, fumbling blindly like a child in the dark.“Selene”, I called out, but was only met with silence.I tried again. My heart was pounding fiercely as I fumbled around the mindlink like a blind woma

  • Alora: My Hybrid Luna   CHAPTER 52: One Call Away

Alora’s POVI barely had time to process that before she appeared from the hallway, in her signature baggy pants and a crop top that exposed her belly button. My mouth opened in shock. It was her, the same girl I saved from bullies in school.“Alora?” she blinked. “Wait… what?”“You know each other?” Mike asked, confusion evident in his features.“Yeah, oh my God Mike, she was the one I was telling you about. "The girl that saved me from the bullies in school.” Phoebe breathed, then turned to me with a weak smile. “Oh my God, I can’t believe you’re the one Mike had not been able to shut up about since this afternoon. Before I could say anything, she enveloped me in a warm hug. Then she pulled back and smiled up at me. I returned the smile, but something in her eyes caught me off-guard.It was subtle. But it was there. Like she was di

  • Alora: My Hybrid Luna   CHAPTER 51: Stormy Gray Eyes

Alora’s POVStormy gray eyes turned towards me, waiting for me to take his hand as his charming wide smile. His hair looked like he had just got out of bed.His hands were still hanging in the air, so I took it. They were warm and he had a firm grip.“My name is Michael, but my friends call me Mike,” he said, his voice deep and smooth. I live two doors down. Welcome to the neighborhood.”I nodded, unable to utter any coherent word. His hands were still in mine, and I was still looking at him speechless. Selene stepped closer to me and stretched out her hands to Michael for a handshake.“Hello Michael, thank you for the warm welcome. "My name is Selene and Alora is my daughter.”He gave his charming smile and nodded “Nice to meet you, Ma'am”Then he held out a small box wrapped in brown paper and tied with a bow. “My stepmom insisted I

  • Alora: My Hybrid Luna   CHAPTER 50: Black and White Beginnings

Alora's POVIt was my first day of college, the first day of the life I had always craved.Selene had insisted the driver drop me off before she went to work.As soon as we got to the school parking lot, she turned from the front seat and handed me a phone. “You will need this”.“Thank you, Mother,” the word came out before I could stop it.I heaved a sigh, adjusting my Gucci handbag that Selene had lent me from her array of designer bags.I walked through the gates trying to look like I had everything figured out, even though I was as lost as a puppy trying to find its way home.I barely knew where the science building was. My palms had begun to sweat a little, so I kept my phone in my hand, pretending to scroll, just to keep them busy.I’d taken extra time getting ready that morning, maybe too much time, so much that Selene had yelled at me to come out of my room.I smiled at the memory. She was beginning to feel and sound like my mother, the one I never had. The one I had only read
