Chapter 44 Her Wedding

Lionel narrowed his eyes and coldly glanced around. Because of the commotion, there were already many people gathered around.

"Who told you that she was a substitute?" Lionel asked in a deep voice. There was not a hint of what he was feeling in his tone.

I could feel an eerie chill coming from him, and the people around us didn't dare look at Lionel. Neither did they dare chatter and speculate about what had happened here, and they simply remained silent.

The store clerk was frightened, taking a few steps back and not daring to speak.

I stood rooted to the spot for a long while before finally reaching out to pull on his coat and said, "Forget it. It's not a big deal."

Lionel's expression eased when he heard my words, but his tone was still cold as he announced, "Listen well. I only have one Luna, and she's standing by my side right now. Understand?"

The surrounding crowd of spectators could do nothing but bow their heads in acknowledgment of such a strong display of power.
