Questioning

[Massimo’s POV]

Once the bastard is no longer in sight, I head inside, only to stop as the sound of voices rising and falling reaches me. Frowning, I slowly began to move forward while masking my aura so that I wouldn’t be noticed.

When I reach a cracked office door, I stop and extend my senses.

"...According to plan," Giovania’s voice announces. "Just need time for her to adjust."

"But what if she awakens before that?" Another voice that I don’t recognize counters It’s clear that it's a woman, but who she is or what her connection to Giovani was, "What then?"

"She won’t," he assures. "I’ve got this under control."

Under control? Awakening? What the fuck were they talking about?

It was clear that it involved Tatiana, but what exactly did any of that mean, and why did I get a sinking suspicion that neither man was up to any good?

"Now I need to get back," Giovani announces. "Before anyone realizes I’m gone."

Cursing, I realize that I needed to move.

Not wasting any time, I rush back up
