A Binding Oath

"Are you sure, wolf? Once you’ve made this oath, you can’t take it back." The woman warned, "This isn't something you should take lightly."

Clarence watched as her unwavering red gaze stayed locked with his, searching for what he was sure was a sign of hesitance. When she didn't find anything but sincerity there, she let out a small sigh.

"I’m sure." Clarence confirmed. "Whatever it is, I swear I'll swear it if you tell me where Amelia is."

He was sure that he had officially gone mad, going through all this trouble for a single woman, but the thought of never seeing her angelic face again scared the hell out of him. And the fact that it scared him left a sense of unease deep within his heart.
