“Aaah….J…Jared,”

Horrified, Amelia watched her fated mate, Jared Woltan, having sex with another woman right in front of her. 

Tears stung Amelia's eyes, who had come to Jared's pack to celebrate his 28th birthday but this evening, she caught him with another woman on his own bed.

“F*ck…you feel so good,” she heard Jared groaning in pleasure.

With her glossy eyes, Amelia watched him getting up from that woman and then they both started dressing up.

“Princess Amelia, I….” Jared tried to get closer to her but Amelia instantly stepped back.

“What has left for you to say now, Alpha Jared Walton?” A tear finally fell down from Amelia’s eyes.

“That despite knowing from the past six months we are destined mates and we are getting married next year… you are sleeping here with another woman?” Her tone raised.

Rage and pain had filled in every vein inside her body. Amelia could endure anything, but betrayal, especially from the people she loved and cared about.

“How could you d….”

“Lower your voice and don't forget you are standing in front of your would-be husband, Princess Amelia Ashwood,” his words enraged Amelia even more, especially when she saw that anger in Jared's eyes, instead of shame or guilt of his cheating.

“And not just only your would-be husband, you are talking to the King of all Alphas, so be careful with your tongue and tone,” Jared made sure to remind her that he was the most powerful werewolf in their entire werewolf community, so all the packs and their Alphas considered him their king.

“You are a werewolf princess and my future Luna. Keep that in your mind,” Glaring at Amelia, Jared uttered those words to her and then lifted his hand up.

He signalled that woman to leave from his room, who bowed at him and then walked out of his room instantly.

“Princess Amelia, you are going to be my wife and my Luna very soon, so start acting like it and alter your actions and behaviour,” wordlessly and appalled, Amelia listened to him.

“This is not how a princess should behave, especially with her own future husband,” he said to her, calmly like she had committed a sin by catching him with another woman.

The height of his shamelessness was extremely shocking to Amelia.

“My behaviour?” Amelia had turned aghast. All her life, she had waited for her destined mate, for this man in front of her.

“What about what you have just done with that woman? Is this considered moral and right?” She bursted out at him, making Jared clench his jaw.

“We both mutually chose to wait till our wedding then how could you, Alpha Jared…?” she questioned him. Her tone increased more.

Amelia knew she and Jared had still not shared even their first kiss with each other because she wanted to wait till their marriage and he also told her he had the same thoughts as her, so how could he act like this now after his betrayal?

“I am a man and I have my requirements, Princesses Amelia,” he shut her in the middle. 

Amelia dug her nails against her palms.

“Like what? Sleeping with other women while being committed to another?” She decided to break all her strings of respect for him because after what he had done, nothing could justify it.

“You are calling it your requirement but would you have forgiven me and accepted me as your Luna if you would have caught me under another man, completely naked, moaning and screaming his name, and then calling it my requirement…Jared Walton?” 

“Enough,” he roared at her.

“Do not dare to forget that you need me to keep yourself protected from those filthy Lycans, who are after your life since the day you have been born,” he gritted his teeth. 

Rage filled her teary gaze. All her life, her parents had kept her hidden from the Lycans, especially from the Lycan king and his ruthless son because of that curse which had turned the Lycan Prince infertile, and unfortunately this curse could only break with her life's end, so for years, those Lycans were looking for her to kill her, especially the Lycan Prince.

“So, just forget what you saw and let's get back to normal,” he tried to touch her again, but Amelia pushed his hand away forcefully.

“Normal? After your cheating and betrayal? You want us to be normal again?” she sneered at him.

“No, Jared Walton. I am not that pathetic and spineless like you,”

Clenching his jaw at her choice of words, Jared gripped her arm in a violent hold.

Amelia hissed.

“So what the f*ck will you do now? You need me to survive this life, remember?” he leashed out at her, making her recall that the only way for her to get out of this curse alive was for her to get mated to her fated mate on her 22nd birthday’s night which was next year.

“If my life needs a betrayer like you to survive then I don't need this life,” she uttered those words to him bluntly, causing him to frown.

“And I think, it's going to be better if I let those Lycans take me with them than to stay with a pathetic man like you,” Amelia let her anger and pain took over her completely. She didn't even realise what she was saying.

Snatching her arm from his hold, Amelia pushed him away from her aggressively.

Jared stumbled a bit.

“I, Amelia Ashwood, the princess of Night Shaders Pack, rejects you, Jared Woltan, as my fated mate,” as soon as she rejected him, Amelia felt a piercing pain igniting in that mark on her chest.

She clutched her aching chest and teared up more. Her entire body had started burning because this matebond was shielding her life, so this rejection had started harming her life.

Jared curled his fists and with a menacing look on his face, he saw Amelia standing up on her trembling feet and then turning around to leave.

“You don't even know what the f*ck you have just done, Amelia,” Jared's words watered her eyes even more.

“That f*cking Lycan prince will kill you. He is brutally ruthless and is still searching for you like a maniac,” 

Hearing him, Amelia squeezed her eyes shut to hold back her tears and then she wiped her eyes.

“If this is what is written in my fate, then I won't run away from it anymore,” and those words were her last words to Jared before she walked away from there.

“AMELIA….” Jared roared her name to stop her but she didn't stop, and ran out of his castle all alone in the night.

With a burning body and heart, Amelia was walking on that path in the middle of the night, which she didn't even know where it was heading to. She didn't know much about this supernatural world, even though she herself was a werewolf because throughout her life, she had lived with humans in their world.

Her feet halted when she finally saw a group of men, which had been surrounding someone, who was screaming for help. All of their backs were on her, so she couldn't see their faces.

“What are you all doing? Leave him,” Amelia shouted at them and walked closer to them, believing they all were werewolves too but when they turned their heads in her direction, her soul went numb in horror.

All of their eyes were completely white, pale and lifeless. They all were Lycans.

Her body froze in dread.

Amelia saw that group of Lycans coming in her direction, so she immediately thought about running but as soon as she turned around, Amelia got slammed against something extremely hard and huge.

She fell on the ground with a loud thud, resulting in a hiss of pain to escape from her mouth. 

“Our search finally ended,” that dark and throaty voice made Amelia open her eyes, and that was where her existence turned into ice in terror by seeing that man in front of her.

He had a huge scar, which was covering almost half of his face, and his eyes were half white and half red, making him look more soulless.

“We finally met, wolf princess….” A treacherous smirk appeared on his scarred face as he gazed into her watery green eyes, which filled with more horror because she knew who he was.

The cruel Lycan Prince….Callum Morelli, who had been searching for her for years just with the only purpose to end her life, so that he could break the curse and have his own child.
