Chapter Thirteen
It's been just about a month since Anthony attacked his mother, the days have flown by so fast, Amelia and I just being trapped is this house. Anthony hardly leaves it either, he tries to sneak out when he thinks I'm asleep, I haven't been able to sleep since his mother incident, I've been much too scared. He didn't give me an explanation on what happened with his mother and told me just to forget I ever saw her, I don't think the image of her laying on the floor will ever leave my head, it was horrifying.

It's been a few more weeks since Anthony took me to case the joint, as ink put it that day. I've been leaving the police so many notes but I don't know if they're actually seeing them, the last note I left brought us the closest we've been to escaping, but still not close enough. I was nearly finished getting Amelia ready for bed, all I needed to do was make her a bottle and than she'd be down for the night. I carry her downstairs, passed ink who was halfway through his fizzy drinks, I walk into the kitchen going to the cupboard to find we had no more formula. Than it hit me, this could be our escape plan, if I send ink to the shop's we'll finally be alone in the house to escape. I was sat in the garden with Amelia once again, but this time it was a little colder, my ankle felt better than last night but it still meant I couldn't walk around very fast. I take a look over to Tammy's fence to see one of those white police tent things over the shed, there's been police in and out of that place since they found her. I don't know why Anthony is so cool with us going in the back garden, I mean I could just pop my head over the fence and tell them who I was. We walk around for a few hours taking in the amazing wildlife, Anthony was right, my foot was actually feeling a bit better after all the walking. We take a rest on one of the benches, so Amelia could have a bottle, I sat beside Anthony as he fed her. I did enjoy the walk but I don't know if that's a good thing, should I be enjoying myself? I mean I'm definitely not always, but it's moments like this when I see a different side to Anthony. Does that make me weird for feeling like this? I still wanna go home and if the chance came right now in this moment to go home, I'd take it without even a second thought. The last few days have been a blur, Anthony has had his friends around every night, drinking until the early hours. He calls it breaking in the new house, I call it slowly breaking your body. I had just put Amelia down for a nap when I pass Anthony in the hallway, he didn't look that great, probably from all the drinking. I'm awoke to Anthony taking Amelia off me and moving her to the cot, I take a look outside to see it was now pitch black, we'd been asleep for a few hours. I turn back around to fall back to sleep, but Anthony jumps beside me my eyes opening immediately. "It took awhile and a lot of tears, but John is safely at home" he smiles, looking over at me with his arms crossed, I just nod closing my eyes once more but he nudges my side "now it's time to hold up your end of the deal" he says with a pointed look, I mean I did tell him I would and he actually did stick to his word for once. I nod sitting up in bed rubbing my eyes, now I didn't know if I wanted to go into full detail. But I didn't know how I could change the story without going into full detail, I didn't realise I hadn't spoke until he nudged me again.

It's been a few days since the whole John fiasco, at first I was worried that Anthony did something to him but he rang yesterday. He asked to speak to me which Anthony allowed, he apologised over and over again and thanked me for stopping Anthony. I was just glad he was safe and kind of shocked that Anthony actually listened to me, I mean he's been so different since we moved here, probably because he knows there isn't a way out.I was playing with Amelia in the living room, making sure she didn't get hurt as she was trying to crawl, Anthony was somewhere in the house doing who knows what, I tend not to ask questions, when the bell for the gate rang through the house.
