Finally, the day came. The biggest carnival was organized by the ‘Woodstock High School’ cultural team. Unlike all those years in the past, this year it was a hit. After the incident on the day of the carnival, she ignored Eddy’s call. It was the weekend, and she locked herself in the room. Luckily, her parents were out for a meeting, so it gave her a chance to be alone. She even ignored Haley, Owen, Carson, and Kayla’s calls. There were many missed calls from all five of them. She texted them to leave her alone and kept her phone on silent. They even tried to come to her house, but no luck for them because she didn’t open the door. Both Evy and Eddy skipped school the next day. But both of them knew that they would have to face each other soon. After the break, Evy tried searching for Eddy, but she could not find him, and when she did, he rushed to get away from her. He was avoiding her. It seems that the tables have turned now. Finally, after school got over, she rushed towards the road where he was walking home to catch up with him. But no luck. He soon disappeared from her eyes. While walking, she was carefully glancing around to get a glimpse of him. Finally, she saw him sitting on the swing in the park where they once used to play when they were kids. They had wonderful memories of their childhood, where there was no peer pressure. They were just kids who enjoyed playing with each other. As time passed by, everything got normal. As normal as it could have been with time. Evy and Eddy didn’t directly start with a relationship like shown in movies where lead stars kiss and make up. They took things one at a time. They decided to take baby steps, took their own sweet time, and enjoyed their moments of patching things up. They built their past relationship by being best friends again. Evy slowly and steadily started to trust Eddy back again. It didn’t take much time as she thought it would have taken. She was content and at peace with how things were going. Eddy thought it might be a bit slower, but he knew for the fact that it was necessary. He and Evy both needed time to understand each other and also the dynamics of their relationship. All three, Hailey, Evy, and Eddy, caught up on old times and filled the missing gaps, and Owen, Carson, and Kayla also accompanied them. It has been a year since Evy has visited her hometown. She would be lying if she said that she did not miss it. Her parents live here, and she had spent her entire childhood in this very place.
