"Khalid?" One of the men called as they moved closer to him. 

They looked so surprised. It wasn't a dream, was it?

"You're awake?"

Khalid closed his eye lids shut, then opened them again. Where the hell was he?

He looked around, the soft feel of the bed feeling familiar. And tbe voice he'd heard....

The only thing he could feel at that moment was weakness and emptiness.
