“Doctor Millan, the patient's father has been kneeling in your office for the past six hours don't you think you should go see him?” Nurse Rose said to me

“Let him keep kneeling I'll go see him when I pleases” 

“But……”

“Enough Rose, return back to your duty post now!”

“Yes doctor” She bowed and left. 

Just when I thought my life was almost better and going good, the rotten people from my past showed up out of the blue and dared to ask for the unthinkable, the guts they have to show their faces to me again after what transpired eight years ago.

I turned around and start walking back to my office, but as I got closer, the deep rooted hatred that I buried at the depth of my heart began to rise, the memories from the past flew in from all angles, almost driving me insane, but I took a deep breath to calm my nerves,

As I held onto the doorknob and slowly pulled it open, the first thing that greeted me was the ugly face of the second man I hate most in the world, Don Lee Ivanov, it's been eight years, who would have thought that our next meeting would be the almighty Don Lee Ivanov kneeling in front of me 

“Long time” I smiled and walked fully into my office, my heels making clicking sounds on the floor, my doctor's garment shining brighter than his whole future, and my aura giving 1000 percent energy. 

I watched as he gave me a run down check with his eyes, 

“You've grown up so much” He uttered, I'm glad he knows I'm no longer that poor girl from the slumps that he could destroy back then with just a flick of his finger, now I'm the World Best Renowned Surgeon and he's here at my mercy.

I walked straight into my office seat and sat down gloriously, 

“How can I help you sir?” 

“Mi….Mi…Millan” He stuttered calling my name, I smiled and look at my 26 carats Rolex watch 

“Five minutes sir that's all you have to speak, I have other patience waiting for me to attend to them.

“Millan…..”

“Millan….”

“Millan….” He called and crawled to my side, he began to prostrate countlessly times before me 

“Enough…..!” I yelled and he stopped immediately and look up to stare at my face, 

“There are many doctors in this hospital, any of them can save your son, why are you making a scene?”

“It's not just about any doctor, the text shows he has 20% chances of survival and it's only in your hand that a safety is assured because you're the best around the world, and not only that, there's something that is needed for the surgery to happen and only you can give that to us” 

I scoff and slowly stood up, I leaned on my office desk and face him 

“Mr Don Lee Ivanov, what is it that only a nobody like me can offer you a multi billionaire who can even pluck the moon from the sky” 

He looked at me in a strange way, more like he's finding it hard to voice out his words, I watched as a tear stream down his left eye, and I wondered what it was that I can offer this wealthy people that own the biggest world business Empire, 

“Mi….Millan you might not know this but after you left, Rolland began drinking, and over the years Roland developed a kidney disease, and right now he had a terrible kidney failure and both of his kidneys are damaged, it's said that the only match he could have will be that of his offspring”

“That's not a problem, he's married and would probably have kids. You guys should deal with your problems yourselves. Why are you telling me this?” 

“That's the problem Millan, Rolland do not have any child with his current wife” 

“So how is that my business?” I shrugged my shoulder, 

“Millan?” He called and crawled closer to me, he grabbed my legs in a pleading manner 

“8 years ago Millan, remember you told me you were pregnant for my son”

His words pierced my heart like an arrow and it felt like thousands of knives were being stabbed into my heart, this selfish man dare to sting my past, this soulless heartless man, 

“How dare you…..” I unconsciously took slow and predatory steps towards him while my heels make clicking expensive sounds, it feels good to see the Almighty Don Lee kneeling at my mercy, I got to him and stopped

“How dare you Ivanov remind me of my dark past, how dare you mention my pregnancy! 8 years Ivanov it's been 8 years of struggle and you think you can jump from nowhere to talk to me about my past?” I said in annoyance, and leaned down to his level, looking him eyeballs to eyeballs 

“Millan I…..”

“Shut up…..! In Case you've forgotten about the past well I have not forgotten about it, since you want to talk about the past so much let me give you a quick run down check down the memory lane Mr Ivanov, now listen, I came to your home to meet Rolland but what did you do, you never allowed me, I told you I was pregnant for him and he needs to know but what did you call the child in my womb? Have you forgotten?!” I yelled and pulled back as I turned away from him, backing him

“You called my own child a distraction, and you even had the guts to offer me 10 million dollars to abort my child, you told me to leave Roland's life, and never show up again, you said that a child that came from the slumps is not fit to be called an Ivanov, hahaha…..hahaha….’’ I laughed fighting back my tears because this people would be the last to see it, 

“And today you want that same child you called disturbance, that same child you gave me money to abort to save your son's life, now what makes you think I had that child?”

“Because you didn't accept the cheque Millan and I've even carried out a secret check on you and I know you have a son”

“Ohhh wow nice one, well guess what? I'm sorry to burst your bubbles Mr Don Lee who thinks the world revolves around him get ready to bury your son, and don't worry I promise to send flowers on his funeral”

“You can't do this to him Millan, remember you loved him!” 

“Get out of my office!” I yelled pointing at the door

“Millan….?”

“Get out or I call the security!” 

“Please think about this Millan, please….” He said and finally left.

I sat back on my seat breathing heavily, it's been eight years, just when I was finally moving on, the past decides to come back again,
