Landon

With a slam of the car door and a shake of my head. I find myself amused that I’m back here so soon. Elion exits the car and we both approach Sally’s cottage.

“This place is fucking creepy.” Elion laughs nervously under his breath.

“This cottage is older than me. Sometimes she forgets to immerse herself into the real world.”

“What do you mean?”

“Sally never left her home for nearly three decades.” he looks at me stunned. “She ventured out here in the forest but that’s as far as she would go. Time for some immortals feels different to others. Three decades almost felt like three days to her.” I shrug at his bemused expression, “She just gets lost in herself.”

“How old is she?” he asks incredulously.
