Our Love Started with Lies

I have been friends with Aidan, Drax, and Roman from the time we were four and five, we also were close with the Fae Twins who were the same age and we constantly hung out together when we were in each other's Kingdom. Our parents were friends and they all started running the Kingdom together when Aidan's father King Ivar sat on the throne over the Darkmouth Kingdom. Roman always had issues with his father, he was abusive but we only knew because he hid the abuse in fear of what would happen to him and his mother. You can safely say, he was afraid of him and he would sneak out and stay at Drax or my house at night when he came home drunk. As we got older, our personalities really kicked in and we were closer than ever, we complimented each other and we stood up for each other as well.

We took blood oaths as kids when we were around ten to be loyal and true to each other and be friends for life, no matter what. However, our destinies intertwined in different ways and our journeys ended up different, we practiced our training and fighting skills preparing to take over our father's roles as they were getting older and would retire once Aidan finished his training and King Ivar stepped down. We loved sparing with each other and seeing where we needed to improve in our training, Aidan was always more of a stronger and more technical fighter, he could see where you were going to hit before you did, reading your body language which was a good thing, he was also more level headed and tries to be fair and not bias in any situation but he was very stern in his decisions once they were made and only make them once he has all the facts.

Roman was very sneaky and secretive at times, he loves the likes of the ladies and sometimes, can have a little temper tantrum but he was very calculating in the way he handled things, which was going to make him a great beta when the time came. Deep down, I think he has anger issues and many secrets that he doesn't want to share with us which was given under the circumstances he lived under. Once he was old enough to live on his own he was out of that house away from his father. Drax was shyer and had a great memory, he never forgot anything important which came in handy when we were in battle, or when dealing with the security in the Kingdom, he was also an excellent and powerful fighter. He was the last person in the group to lose his virginity because he was so shy and conservative. I was what you would consider a playboy in the making, I did sleep with lots of she-wolves in the Kingdom and other species once the occasion arose, this would usually put me in unpleasant situations among the ladies.

I believed in mates but I knew that it could take years before we find our mates, that is why, we had no problem with different she-wolves in and out of court in our beds. I was training to take over my father's position which included the handling of the taxes in the Kingdom and some of the training with the Palace Army, I was one of the more, let's say, vicious fighters they had, even better than my father, he was so proud of that and boasted a lot. I was on my way to one of my ladies after a long day of training for some relaxing time but my mother linked me as she just went into labor and couldn't get a hold of my father, so I changed into my wolf knowing he was probably on the training field. I notified my father and we headed out for my little brother or sister's birth, my mother Stella was a beautiful she-wolf and she loved us very much. My father Thorin adored her and when we saw Toffe for the first time, we knew that we would protect him always.

Eight Years Later

The War

The war had started due to the Rogue King wanting King Ivar dead and attacking smaller packs all over the Kingdom, he had even invaded other kingdoms like the Vampora and Faeora which led to the treaty years before. During the war, we lost a lot of men so we killed a lot of rouges, my father was the first to die in battle and it turned me into a killing machine, I was more ruthless than ever, I felt his death and I know my mother did as well. Drax and Aidan also lost their fathers before Aidan showed up, when his father finally fell in battle, we ended the war and were on the verge of cleaning up the mess when Aidan allowed everyone to mourn their dead.

Roman was glad his father died but when it was time for the Rogue King to be executed along with the other traitors to the crown, he wanted Aidan to spare his life and I was furious that he would even suggest that after we all lost our fathers. I knew he hated Beta Davos but to spare the Rogue King's life after all our fathers fell, I wasn't having it and I admit, Roman and I never really saw eye to eye after that but we were still friends. After the public funerals for our King, Beta, Gamma, and Delta, Aidan was Coronated and we took our places next to him. We all became Princes in our own right, Roman was happy to be the Royal Beta as it brought more privileges to us, I didn't mind but I hated that it was because of our fathers dying, and they never got to retire peacefully.

Toffe always followed me around and I didn't mind, we all got close to him and the others loved him like a little brother, my mother however, hated that Toffe would sneak out to be with us and stay in my quarters at the palace, so I was often scolded but she meant well, she had lost our father and she was coping the best way she knew how. Roman had started acting strange lately and we didn't know what was up with him but we always tried to include him in our adventures. One night we even went out to drink and ended up talking to a gypsy woman who told us about our destinies and to beware of traitors, we renewed our blood-oath that night, this time it felt different, a jolt went throughout our bodies, and in a way, I felt closer to Aidan and Drax, Roman not so much, but he was distant for a while now and we figured the war took a toll on him. Our duties increased in the upcoming months as we tried our best to move forward, the Kingdom was striving again and everyone had started to heal.

Addison

I returned to court after the war training my powers in Volterra, the Witch Kingdom run by my Grandmother the Witch Queen. Not many people in the kingdom know my heritage and my ties to Volterra and I loved it that way, I had been led back to court hoping to run into Aidan as he was now the Alpha King since his father's death. Aidan met with me and made me one of his concubines as I didn't mind, we had feelings for each other. We had these feelings towards each other from childhood and I was glad to just be with him, we generally fell in love with each other. Aidan wouldn't take me as a mate, although I was hoping he would take me as a chosen mate because I was in love with him but he believed in fated mates and wanted to wait for her. He had offered not to keep me if it was too much but I wanted to be with him and settled to be his mistress in hopes he would change his mind.

I placed a spell on me so I wouldn't find my mate or he wouldn't recognize me in case he was in the kingdom, that would complicate things. My wolf didn't like the idea although she loved King, Aidan's wolf, I ran into Drax and Ty heading toward the grand hall and I must say they grew up and they hug me, I was loving how Ty was looking sexy as hell, his body changed and damn, those eyes, I felt a little drawn to the scrawny kid that I remember who wasn't so scrawny anymore. I had asked for Roman as I hadn't seen him since I had returned to the Kingdom and was told he was out on business, I was invited to dinner with them to celebrate my return to court.

Later that evening, I was heading down to the dining hall and ran into Roman, he was being secretive in talking to one of the guards and he looked at me smiling and hugged me saying, "Addison, you're back," kissing me on both sides of my cheeks. I offer my deepest condolences for the loss of his father and he growls slightly saying, "Thank you but he won't be missed," which shocked me but I let it slide. It wasn't my business how someone grieved, Roman rubbed his hand on my shoulder saying, "We should skip dinner," I felt creeped out and said, "I am one of Aidan's ladies, sorry," but no chance in hell I would be sleeping with him. Roman looked at me before walking off giving me bad vibes but I just ignored them and went to the dining hall where we had a lovely celebration among old friends.
