Kinabukasan...

Nagising ako sa katok ni manang, calling for breakfast. Lagi kaming nagsasabay sa hapag-kainan. It is my father's ultimate rule to spend time eating together as a family. Inayos ko ang sarili ko aking sarili bago bumaba.

I took my seat beside mom on the long table. Dad's chair is the power seat which is situated at the end of the table.

"Good morning, mom and dad" I greeted merrily.

"Her name is Thalia. She will be staying with us from now on." Mom answered with a smile while looking at the girl. I saw the girl smile shyly in return.
