The drive from the mansion to the Nithercott residence took exactly an hour. Before departure Melanie had informed me that we'd be gone for three days, and after hearing her say those words I began reconsidering my words. But it was too late now, I had already given her my words, and trying to cancel midway would cause a lot of problems not just for Melanie, but for me too.

"You don't have go if you don't want to." Kaelan had reminded, but I'd been too stubborn and adventurous to listen. Now I wasn't so proud of that decision. Kaelan had just returned from his trip, and I'd barely survived his absence. And now this woman was taking me away from Kaelan just two days after, it was a nightmare but I will learn to adapt.

Those three days of Kaelan's absence really helped me in my growth. Although it wasn't the most pleasant days, I learnt to survive and live without Kaelan, and hopefully I'll be able to replicate that feat right here and the Nithercott mansion.
