LOGINBLURB - Outcast. That's what I've become since my mate died for me. I am Meadow, a hybrid born with a bloodline I never asked for. I didn't know I was a hybrid, I was an orphan, who grew up on the streets with no one to tell me. It turned out that my mate knew what I was and still loved me, he fought and died right in front of me and that was when I first transformed. The pack members denied me and I was cast out by my mate's pack. They all refused to accept what I was. Being a hybrid means I can't be killed but the pack’s witch found a spell that could kill me. My soul would be obliterated, I didn't fight it because I couldn't bear the pain of losing a mate. A mate who fought and died for me. I closed my eyes as the spell fell on me, I awaited the feeling of peace but instead, I opened my eyes and I saw my mate standing right in front of me. What was more confusing was that I was in a whole new world, how is any of this possible? But something was different, he felt cold and void of emotions. And that's when I found out he was a vampire. Not just any vampire, but a king. Should I be happy that I saw my mate again or is this going to ruin my life?

MEADOW POV BLACKWOOD ANCIENT TEMPLE I sat next to my mate's body as it floated on an altar in the center of an ancient temple. Everything still played in my head like it was happening all over again. Watching my mate die right before my eyes as that wolf dug his hands into my mate's chest from behind. Oh moon goddesses, would I ever forget what happened yesterday? I ran my hands through my mate's now pale face but he still looked so handsome and more at peace. That made a smile spread on my face. The tip of my hair touched his face, reminding me my hair was now silver. I still couldn't wrap my head around why or how I did what I did when that wolf dug his hand in my mate's chest. My mate was my life. He found me at my lowest and picked me up not minding that I was an orphan. My name is Meadow Lightwood, I was raised by a pack of wolves in an orphanage with no trace of who or what my parents were. I was isolated at first since they thought I was human, until my sixth birthday when I transformed. I was the first to find my wolf, I was scared thinking I was a monster but that only made the others welcome me. After I left the orphanage at age 21. I worked my ass off, every evening I went to the lake far in the forest to rest just like today but mostly because my wolf had been restless for days, just when I thought it was time to go, I heard a snap of a twig making me freeze. I didn't know the basics of fighting or defense since we don't do that in the orphanage, their main goal was for us to live a normal life outside the orphanage gate. I slowly stood up in all four paws and saw the most beautiful man ever standing just a few meters away from me. He was only in his shorts and his upper body exposed to me, oh god. “So you're the one invading my secret spot and leaving your scent behind.” What is he talking about? I thought but I didn't really put my mind into that because something amazing caught my nose. The scent was enticing that it almost made me dizzy, what was that scent? “Shift,” I heard the guy say in a tone I knew I couldn't resist. I immediately shifted, butt naked as I tried to cover myself up, until I heard a word I never thought I would hear since our guidance in the orphanage said it would be difficult or impossible to find one since we weren't in a pack. But I heard it and he was glad to see me. “Mate.” Maybe, if he had ignored me that day, none of this would have happened, right? ***FLASHBACK *** “STAY AWAY FROM MY MATE !” My mate barked, pulling me behind him. “Don't make us look bad Conri, with someone that powerful she's a fucking ticking bomb. She's dangerous…” “She doesn't even know, and she's my mate.” “We know you love her, Conri, but she's a danger to the pack and to you.” “Let me be the judge of that, and it's alpha to you.” My mate said sternly, standing tall like a shield for me, but why? What's going on? “Dangerous? What…what is he talking about?” I asked from behind Conri. He turned to face me, his face looked calm as his eyes landed on me. He had the most beautiful grey eyes I had ever laid my eyes on. He placed a kiss on my forehead, “I promise to explain everything to you tonight, okay? Just wait for me in the bedroom, go.” I swallowed, not sure if I should leave or stay, the atmosphere wasn't right, especially with Dennis and the other wolves looking like they were ready to wolf out but I listened to Conri and turned. That's when I heard a warning growl, then a louder growl came from my mate. “You're going to regret this.” “No, you would.” ***END OF FLASHBACK*** Who knew I would be the one to regret leaving them together that night. The smell of fire and blood lingering in my nose as I stared at my mate's body dressed in a glittering white suit. He looked more at peace laying here, he looked like he was sleeping except the hole in his chest making me accept his death. “I don't know what I did, but I killed Denis.” I chuckled softly as I whispered to my mate, “Did you see the look on his face? I hope you did, because I can't remember either.” I said as a tear dropped on my mate's cheeks. “If only I…I came just a little late then ... .then you would still be alive, right? How do I live…” I paused and sniffed, “ No, I can't live without you because nothing, nothing Conri, nothing makes sense here.” I laid my head on his chest, “You shouldn't have stared at me, you shouldn't….” I gasp as I remembered running towards the backyard where bodies laid and Conri in his wolf form stood right in the center letting out a loud howl. The whole place was scattered and messy. The smell of blood was so strong but my mate still stood with a few scratches. He turned immediately like he knew I was there and shifted back to human form with a smile on his face but immediately a clawed hand shot through his chest and pulled out his heart. My mate stared at me as he fell to the ground and Dennis stood there with a smile. I could feel our bond breaking as Conri took his last breath still staring at me, I suddenly couldn't breathe, losing a mate is like losing a part of you and I think I just did. I yelled, running towards Dennis who lunged at me and everything went blank. I still can't remember anything but when I got myself back Dennis was dead, the sky blue dress I wore was soaked in blood like I had a bath in it and Dennis laid dead but no one could recognize him anymore. I stared at my hand to see his heart beating, I threw it to the side and went to my mate, my hair was suddenly silver but I didn't care about that. I sat on the ground and pulled my mate on my thighs, immediately Dennis mate ran in and screamed. And now I'm being blamed for my mate's death. Dennis’s mate claimed that I killed them all and for some reason they believe because I was a hybrid. Was that what my mate wanted to explain to me that night he died? I ran my hands through the cotton material on the altar, I smiled sadly, I placed his favorite flowers all around him. Including a particular flower that he so much hated but pretended to like it when I said it was my favorite. I miss you so much Conri. I sniffed, “The pack witch said she has found a way to kill me,” I chuckled slowly running my hands through his hair, “Can you wait a little for me? I will join you soon.” Who knew I would accept death with such pleasure? But this world, no, everything makes no sense without Conri around. “Luna,” I heard the pack witch call out. I sniffed, wiping the tears from my cheeks as I stood up. I had refused to wash or change the clothes I wore. Dennis' blood that had soaked my clothes dried on it, the dried blood stiffened my dress, and strands of silver hair clung to my face, but I didn't mind not that anyone cared. I turned to face her with my head held high just like my mate used to tell me, “No matter what, always hold your face high.” I breathed out softly, “I'm ready.” With my head held high, I left my mate's body and walked out of the temple gracefully. The doors opened and a soft breeze blew my cheeks and my silver hair danced with the wind even though it was stained with dried blood. I sighed softly and immediately I heard the words that kept coming through the walls when I was with my mate more clearly now. “Murderer.” “Outcast.” “She's evil.” “Kill her.” I smiled softly as I walked down the stairs, my whole body was shaking from fear and the look of disgust made me feel worse, even my mate's family didn't believe me. But I wouldn't let them see me crumble, I walked gracefully in the path created for me. On each side, people cursed at me. I looked straight up to the altar. It was decorated with ancient writing that I didn't understand. Only witches could read or understand such writings. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath as I lay on it. All the pack members gathered to see me die. I was scared but I didn't want to show it, instead I remembered my happy moments with my mate as the witch threw black dust up, I closed my eyes as the black smoke engulfed me. I awaited the pain but nothing, I felt nothing. I immediately opened my eyes and a bright light hit my eyes. “You better walk, slave, your master wouldn't be happy if you're late?” What? Slave? I looked at my hands and it was chained. What was going on? I looked up to see a very beautiful castle standing where my mate's pack once was. The man pushed me again, “Walk!” He barked, showing me his fangs. Vampires? Oh moon goddess, where am I?CHAPTER 8MEADOW POV The ground vibrated from the intruder's voice as it sent shivers down my spine.I would recognize that voice anywhere and anytime not in a good way though, it made my body tremble from fear.“That’s enough.”I freed my hands from around the guard's neck and he tried to carry me down but I hit his hand away and came down from his body on my own. I rolled my eyes at the guard, making him growl and sending memories back to me in a flash.I let out a short breath as memories from last night came flashing into my memory. My joy from being alone with him, turned to a nightmare I would never forget. His fangs pierced through my skin and the sound of my skin tearing as he sank his fangs deeper into my neck. I gasped and breathed out shakingly as my eyes landed on Lucifer's face, still void of emotion. Why was he here?Wasn't he there to check if I'm dead or alive or was he worried?I scoffed inwardly, there's no way he would worry about me.He looked like the devil him
CHAPTER 7MEADOW POV I feel numb but the feeling of the softness beneath me made my brain register that I was on a bed.I moved my fingers, oh good , I'm okay. But if I'm on the bed that means…I inhaled sharply, quickly sitting up on the bed. The movement made me a bit dizzy.I groaned, holding my head, “Where am I?”The bright light made it had for me to open my eyes. Bright light, that means I'm not in Lucifer's room. I released a sigh of relief as my eyes slowly adjusted to the light and I came face to face with a girl standing very close to me, staring like she's watching a rare artifact.“Excuse me?” I asked with a raised brow. The girl giggled before standing tall, “Hi, I'm Emily.” With an outstretched hand.I stare at the hand and back at her face, is she kidding me? She wants to shake? What sick game is this? Her smile dropped when she noticed I wasn't going to take her hand, she slowly retreated her hand biting her lips awkwardly.“Um..well, I'm glad you're okay. The king
CHAPTER 6MEADOW POV I stare at my reflection in the mirror and I must say Lyra really knows her work.My skin was soft and shiny. The rose scent she used in the bath lingered on my skin. The white dress was beautiful. The gown flowed down my knees, with a tiny strap exposing my chest. My breasts were bigger than the dress, I guess everyone here has a small chest.I chuckled more to myself.“Maybe we'll have to change the dress,” Lyra finally said something to me after her mistress left.I smiled about to reply when the door burst open and Lilithra walked in. Her eyes landed on me and she smiled, “Oh you're ready, I didn't know you were this busty.”She said observing my breasts.“Yeah, Lyra was about to….”She waved her fingers, cutting me shut, “We need to leave now, Lucifer is getting impatient.” Lilithra gave me one last glance because turning and walking out of the room.“You need to follow Mistress.” Lyra said softly.I smiled politely, “Thank you Lyra.” I said about walking o
CHAPTER 5MEADOW POV With a smile I walked slowly behind the guard as we made our way out of the dark dungeon. The bright light hit me unexpectedly as I instinctively closed my eyes. Slowly I peeled them open as I took in the environment. The hallway was magical and neat. I could literally see my reflection on the marble floors, making me stare at my dirty shoes and how I may leave dirty marks on the floor. What caught my attention were the beautiful decorations on the ceiling, it looked like stars . It made me feel like I was in a space. Conri may be brainwashed but he still has a wonderful taste in design. I almost chuckled when I hit my head against the guard's back. The guard immediately let out a low growl, making me take a few steps back.“Watch it, hybrid,” he growled, baring his fangs at me.“That's not the way to talk to a lady, Levi.” I heard someone say as she walked from the guards front, I let out a soft scoff.Everyone here is just absolutely stunning, it's amazing. The
