Scarlett

I stared at the man in front of me, not even bothered that I had just spat water directly on his face in public.

My only concern was the words that had come out of his mouth. Was he nuts? What did he mean by *I was carrying his child? And how did he know I was pregnant in the first place?

Was this some sort of scam or what?

For a second, nobody moved, then the man who had previously addressed himself as Atlas Voss slowly lifted a hand and wiped the water from his face calmly.

The kind of calm that usually came right before someone murdered you.

Oh shit.

I braced myself for what he could possibly do to me, but nothing happened. If anything… The asshole looked amused. Which somehow made everything worse.

Beside him, Marcus turned away abruptly and coughed into his fist. I could tell he was trying so hard not to laugh, which was surprising to me because what exactly was that funny?

Did he want to laugh at me or at his weird friend who calls himself Alpha?? What did Alpha even mean? Was he some kind of misogynistic Alpha male who takes pride in calling himself that?

Hmmmphhhh

It must be, I mean, why else would he want to claim ownership of a child that has nothing to do with him?

“You.” I pointed at Atlas, and his eyebrow lifted slightly.

“Me.”

“What exactly do you mean by carrying your child? And how do you even know my name is Scarlett Wright?” I asked, and his expression remained infuriatingly composed.

I knew the last question was stupid, seeing that I was a popular model, but I still wanted to ask. The way he said it sounded familiar somehow, like he had known it long before today.

“We need to talk somewhere private.” He finally said, and I let out a loud, disbelieving laugh.

“Oh, absolutely not.”

“We need privacy.”

“I don’t even know you.”

“You know my name.”

“You introduced yourself thirty seconds ago.” I countered, and his jaw twitched.

“We can explain everything.” He argued.

“Everything?” I repeated. “You mean the part where you’re claiming to be the father of my mystery pregnancy?”

“Yes.” He shrugged, and I blinked in confusion.

“Oh my God, you’re serious.”

“Very.”

“No.”

“Scarlett….”

“No.”

“Listen to me.”

“No.”

“We can talk here if you prefer.”

I opened my mouth to argue again before realizing that a lot of people had slowly gathered, and they were starting to stare at us. Some were pretending not to watch while others were watching openly. One woman was literally holding her phone.

Fantastic.

Exactly what my already disastrous life needed.

Witnesses.

I closed my eyes, counted to three, then pointed at the SUV.

“Five minutes,” I said, and Atlas nodded.

…………..

The inside of the SUV smelled expensive. I didn’t know how well to explain it, but it smelled like money.

Atlas sat across from me, Marcus sat in the driver’s seat, and for several seconds, nobody spoke.

“Well?” I folded my arms.

“Several weeks ago, there was a Blood Moon Eclipse.” He said, and I blinked in confusion.

“What?”

“The Blood Moon Eclipse.”

“That’s where you’re starting?”

“Yes.”

“Just let him finish, please.” Marcus sighed.

I wasn’t sure I wanted him to, but at this point, curiosity was winning, so I urged him to go on.

“Our pack has an ancient ritual.” He continued, and my headache immediately got worse. What did he mean by pack and ancient ritual?

“It’s called the Veil-Singing, and the ritual is performed once every few generations. It is used to secure the bloodline of the next Silverwood Alpha.”

I stared at him, looking more confused, but he continued instead.

“The ritual creates what we call a soul-echo. A connection beyond physical distance and the soul-echo searches for a compatible vessel.”

My brain was already trying to leave my body, and my eye was twitching badly.

“A vessel strong enough to carry the heir. And somehow…It found you.”

Silence.

Complete silence.

Nobody spoke or breathed as I tried to process every single ridiculous word he just uttered.

“So, you’re trying to tell me that your village has a ritual and…”

“Not a village, my pack. I’m a werewolf.” He said, and I stared at him in disbelief, waiting for the peekaboo or bazinga to tell me he was pranking me, but he remained unfazed.

“What the hell? You’re telling me you’re a werewolf now and that your pack has this ritual?” I asked, mouth wide open, and he nodded.

I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. I mean, weren’t werewolves just folktales that were told to scare children and didn’t really exist?

“You’re joking, werewolves don’t exist.” I laughed nervously, waiting for them to join me in laughing, but their expressions remained serious.

“There are werewolves, and yes, we are real, we exist. I’m the Alpha of the pack, and another pack exists right here in LA. You, humans, are just oblivious to the fact.” He revealed, and I covered my mouth in shock.

What the hell did he just say? Was he really serious, or was he trying to pull my leg? I mean, I still didn’t understand the whole thing.

“Let’s forget about that and focus on the matter at hand. I’ll explain everything properly later.” He said, and I looked at him, trying to figure out if I should run or stay still and understand what the fuck was happening to me.

“Wait..” I swallowed down, trying to calm myself. “So you’re trying to say you’re a werewolf and some Alpha of a pack and that your pack has an ancient heir wolf ritual??” I asked, and Atlas sighed.

“Yes.”

“So what you’re saying is that this wolf ritual got me pregnant,” I questioned.

“It’s more complicated than that.” He said, and I frowned.

“It sounds exactly that simple,” I argued, and Marcus suddenly made a strange choking noise from the front seat.

I pointed at Atlas again, ignoring him.

“So you’re saying a wolf howled. A magic moon appeared, and a ghost baby flew across America, and now I’m pregnant?” I asked in utter shock, and he shook his head.

“That’s not what happened.”

“That is literally what you just described.”

“It’s far more complex than…”

“A wolf howl got me pregnant.”

“Scarlett.”

“No, this is insane.” I threw both hands into the air, and Atlas’s expression darkened slightly.

“The child is real Scarlett, you might not understand properly, but this is how best I can explain,” he said, and my stomach tightened.

Because, unlike the rest of this conversation…That part wasn’t a joke.

I had seen the ultrasound.

“The child is mine.” His voice softened, and a strange feeling crawled through my chest. Fear, confusion, and anger, all mixed.

“No.”

“It is.”

“No.”

“Scarlett…”

“I said no.” I shoved the door open and rushed out before he could stop me.

My legs felt shaky, and my thoughts felt worse.

Atlas exited the vehicle seconds later, and I turned to face him immediately. “Stay away from me.”

“I can do that, but the baby changes things, and I’m not leaving here today without you or my baby.” He revealed coldly, and I froze.

  • THE ALPHA’S PREGNANT VIRG*N   Chapter 38: Better Than I Imagined

ScarlettI didn’t know what to expect, but my heart was beating really fast hearing him say those words. “Spread your legs open for me, Scarlett.” That single command was so filthy it made the ache between my thighs throb even harder. My breath caught in my throat as I obeyed, slowly spreading my legs wider for him.I lay beneath him with nothing on, my body completely exposed to his piercing gaze. My heart hammered so loud I was sure he could hear it, as heat flooded my cheeks, but I didn’t close my legs. I wanted this. I had waited years for this moment with him.Lucas stayed on his knees between my spread thighs, just looking at me. His eyes were dark with hunger, moving slowly over my breasts, my stomach, and down to the most private part of me. A low groan rumbled from his chest.“Fuck, Scarlett,” he breathed. “You’re even more beautiful than I imagined.”He came down over me, his hard body pressing me into the soft mattress. His mouth claimed mine in a slow, steamy kiss that

  • THE ALPHA’S PREGNANT VIRG*N   Chapter 37: I Want You, Lucas

ScarlettI knew why he’d think I wanted to do this with him out of ‘fear’. To be fair, who disappears without a word for a month, then comes back so suddenly to profess love to their former boss and then asks them to have sex with them all within the span of what??One hour? It was nuts. But this was what I truly wanted. As much as the pain was what accelerated the process and what made me truly want to take this step…I’ve always imagined this day.I’ve waited for this day and thought about how everything was supposed to go, and hopefully it goes smoothly.“I don’t want you to have sex with me because of fear. I’ve always wanted you. I want you to fuck me, or am I not desirable enough? Don’t you want to fuck me too?I watched as his eyes burned with desire at my question. I had used such lewd language for a reason, and asking such raw questions was to force him into answering.I knew the answer already, though. One look at me could drive any man crazy with desire, so I knew the is

  • THE ALPHA’S PREGNANT VIRG*N   Chapter 36: Are You Sure?

ScarlettWas this really happening? Was I really kissing the man I had harbored feelings for, for so long? I used to think this day would never come, but it was here, and I couldn’t imagine it any other way.Lucas’s lips moved against mine with a tenderness that made my chest ache. His hand stayed gentle in my hair, the other sliding down to rest at my waist, pulling me closer but never demanding. I melted into him, fingers curling into the bare skin of his shoulders. I didn’t know how to explain it, but whenever I was with Lucas…It felt warm and easy. It was nothing like the chaotic pull I felt whenever Atlas looked at me, and I liked it.We finally broke apart to catch our breaths, and Lucas smiled, resting his forehead against mine. “Damn, Scarlett,” he whispered, voice rough. “I’ve wanted to do that for longer than I should probably admit.”I let out a shaky laugh, my cheeks burning. “Me too.”He kissed me again, softer this time, a quick press like he couldn’t quite help hims

  • THE ALPHA’S PREGNANT VIRG*N   Chapter 35: Only Lucas

Scarlett“Arrgghhh…” I groaned, pressing my palm against my lower abdomen as another sharp ache spread through me.It had become unbearable. A constant reminder that I needed to let go of something I had been holding on tightly to all these years.I looked at the car window, counting down the minutes until I got to Lucas’ house.YesI had somehow managed to escape. Well not quite escape, but I had left the pack while everyone was still engrossed in the ‘Viviennes trial.’They were obviously trying to prevent the ‘human' from knowing about the pack's business so I doubt anyone would notice I was gone and even if they did.Lucas would have already made me a woman by then.I smiled at the thought, my face flushing red. I couldn’t bear the pain again and I knew now might be the chance to finally get into Lucas’s bed.I didn’t even know what to say when I got there, but I knew his house by memory, and I knew I wanted this to be with him. This was my decision. Not the Moon Goddess’s or Atl

  • THE ALPHA’S PREGNANT VIRG*N   Chapter 34: Too Damaged For Her

Atlas“Oh baby, I knew you were telling the truth. I’ve always trusted you.” Seraphine rushed to hug me once they dragged Vivienne outside.“I don’t know why you ever engaged with her. She’s a lying bitch who tried to steal my man.” Seraphine said, still clinging on tightly to my neck.I knew why she was doing this. She wanted to paint a false picture to the elders present that we were in ‘love,’ but I wasn’t having any of this.I leaned in closer, ignoring her shocked but happy expression. She puckered her lips expecting a kiss, but I just went on to whisper in her ear.“She may be a liar, but she’s a better fuck than you’d ever be.” Her grip on my neck loosened immediately, and she staggered backwards a little, tears already forming at the corner of her eyes. That wasn’t true, of course.I didn’t particularly care who was better than who amongst the women I’d slept with. I only wanted to remind Seraphine that pretending to be my devoted mate in front of the Council wouldn’t magicall

  • THE ALPHA’S PREGNANT VIRG*N   Chapter 33: Exposed

AtlasI stood up from my throne, my eyes dark and imposing as they settled on Vivienne, the treacherous bitch. She was making a mockery of my intelligence by having me seated here in front of the high council, my parents, Seraphine, and some reputable pack members, including her mother and stepfather.I wanted to gouge her eyes out in front of the crowd with my claws.“Patience,” my wolf Finn whispered.I knew too well what he meant by patience. We were confident Vivienne would be exposed, so there was no need to tear her apart right now.My eyes fixed on hers, and she shuddered, lowering her head immediately.PffftttJust a little more time until you’re exposed.“Carry on.” I gave the command for the blood ritual to begin with only those two simple words.Althea bowed her head and lined up some of the materials she needed for the ritual. In the normal sense, this was supposed to be a closeted ritual, but because Vivienne was alleging her unborn baby was mine when I stood on my words

Scarlett“Congratulations ma’am you're pregnant.” The doctor said, handing me a report that left me confused. What the hell was I looking at? “What??? What do you mean she’s pregnant?” My mom asked, looking puzzled.I couldn’t even say anything, I just kept mute staring at the test results in my h

  • THE ALPHA’S PREGNANT VIRG*N   Chapter 4: The Meeting

Scarlett“What??”I stared at Zara like she had completely lost her mind. She sighed dramatically and repeated herself more slowly this time.“What if you just terminate the pregnancy?”My jaw nearly hit the floor.“Zara!”“What?” She frowned. “I’m serious, Scarlett. This whole thing is creepy as

  • THE ALPHA’S PREGNANT VIRG*N   Chapter 3: A Bad Dream

ScarlettRain poured endlessly from the sky as I ran barefoot through a dark forest. The branches from different trees scratched against my skin while thunder cracked violently above me, but somehow… I wasn’t scared.I should’ve been terrified, instead, heat flooded my body in dangerous waves and

  • THE ALPHA’S PREGNANT VIRG*N   Chapter 2: Something Was Terribly Wrong

ScarlettAfter mom chased me out of the house I couldn’t think of anywhere else to go apart from Zara’s so I made my way there as fast as my legs could carry me.I knocked weakly on Zara’s apartment door, hugging myself tightly as cold night air brushed against my skin. The moment the door swung op
