Chapter one:Birth

It was exactly 3am in the morning at the operating room of one of the best hospitals in New York, the children of Mr Kel Ross where being born.

Kel paced back and forth on the third floor and kept staring at the operating room were his wife was, and kept praying in his heart that his wife and children would come out safely.

His mother who was seated  kept assuring him that they would be alright.

After his wife went into early labour in the middle of the night she knew her son was in a scared state, And all she could do was to assure him that everything would be alright, even though  she wasn't certain. She had seen  her daughter -in -law earlier that day and was sure she said she wasn't due till next month, But then she received a call in the middle of the night from her son saying he was at the hospital and Irene had been rushed to the ER, she was so worried about her grandchildren that she rushed over right away. 

All she wanted was the safety of her grandchildren, she didn't quite care about Irene, But of course she didn't want her dead either. I mean what would be the fate of her only son if he lost his most precious wife. So in her heart she had to pray for both the lives of her grandchildren and their mother.

An hour had passed and there was still no word from the doctors or nurses, Kel couldn't take it any  more.

Negative thoughts kept on flooding his mind as he waited.

"What if she doesn't make it?? What if the kids didn't make it ?? What if they all die?? Wait!!

What if they were all already dead and the doctors were to scared  to come out and tell him." 

At this point Kel had had enough of waiting he had made up his mind to just work in and take a look for himself. 

But as the thought just settled in, The door of the emergency room opened and two doctors walked out.

Kel's mother stood up immediately and they  braced themselves for whatever news they would hear.

Fortunately the doctors took off their face masks to reveal smiling faces.

Kel didn't care if they were smiling or not he just  wanted  to hear that both his wife and kids were in good health. But he was so scared that he couldn't bring himself to ask.

His mother who noticed this, suddenly asked "Are they all okay"?? 

"Yes both the lives of the mother and children are safe, the surgery went well, And Congratulations your a father of four healthy beautiful baby girls".

"FOUR"??

The word four became such a strange and shocking word.

Kel was so confused he thought he heard wrong so he asked again.

"FOUR ?? Doctor are you sure of what your saying cause my wife was pregnant with twins and not quadruplets."

"Well Mr Ross turns out the CT scans were wrong, Mrs Ross was indeed pregnant with quadruplets and not twins."

At this moment kel didn't know how to react, This was just to much for him to handle,  he was gonna have FOUR girls NOT two but FOUR, Seriously was this some kind of dream, cause if it was he would really love to wake up. Not that he wasn't happy, he just didn't know how to react to the news. 

But his mother on the other hand was overjoyed, At least her daughter in law wasn't as useless as she thought, She had actually given birth to four children in one go. How impressive.
