I quickly hugged her to my chest. "Ayra, you've promised to protect our pack by agreeing to get married, what changed?"

She released me and looked at me, "I... I found out who the groom was just now" tears flowed faster as she pulled her phone out and showed me the text message that seemed to be from the groom.

It reads... "Hey, future wife. I hope to see you before the ceremony, but I'm busy so I'm going to take some minutes to summarize things; I want you to know I'm not interested in marriage, or you... But I accepted to be here because that's the only collateral your father has to save his pack.

The phone dropped from my hand, "Your groom is Alpha Riot? The Mad Alpha?"

I was also in panic. If she was refusing to get married at just an hour to the event, then what do we tell the guests and the groom?

I didn't say anything. I walked toward the window and looked down to the people at the garden and dad greeted them. "Why did you want to do this to me, Ayra?"

She rushed to me again, "I can't do this, Maia. I...."

The door opened, our maids rushed in and bowed before spitting it, "Princess Ayra, we confirmed that Alpha Riot just arrived here and he's currently heading to..."

Ayra and I moved closer and snatched the photos from them. Ayra checked first, and smirked, "What the assurance that he's Alpha Riot?"
