3. The Ex

No man is as trashy as Adam. He honeymooned with two women in secret. He had planned this out pretty well beforehand.

Adam spent a week at the hotel so he could share his time with Maya and Sabrina simultaneously without Maya and his father finding out. Meanwhile, he prepared a smoother plan ahead to achieve all of his goals: wealth, love, honor, and happiness.

Adam knew that the innocent woman he would sacrifice was Maya. However, he planned to give her a large sum of alimony so she could live comfortably and find a new husband. Her disappointment would be bought with enough money. Who wouldn't want it if the amount he offered would later be compared to the salary of working for his company as a CEO secretary for life?

Adam was sure that Maya would agree because the reason this innocent-looking woman wanted to be betrothed to him was definitely because of money. What's more, shouldn't everyone choose their own path in life? Not an arranged marriage, unless there were other factors, such as money, and that's what's in Adam's head at the moment. How could Maya agree to an arranged marriage with him if he were a poor man?

Tonight was the fourth night of the newlyweds staying in the hotel. Like the previous days, after Adam spent time with Maya, he would visit Sabrina as soon as he could. He didn’t forget to add the sleeping powder to his wife’s drink so she would sleep soundly all night.

However, during the day, Adam's time could only be spent on Maya. When they had a romantic meal at a restaurant, Sabrina could only eat alone in her room if she didn't want to cross paths and see firsthand the intimacy of her lover with his wife.

While Adam and Maya spent the afternoon swimming and walking on the beach, Sabrina had to fight hard not to get jealous when they were in the same place at the same time. This, of course, really tormented Sabrina's mind.

Frequently, Sabrina cried, lamenting her fate. Why did she have to live this kind of ridiculous life? Even though the money and facilities she got were similar to Maya's, she wanted more from Adam. Even though his love and heart were only for her, she wanted public recognition that she was the one for him.

Sadly, she realized that Maya was still around, standing proudly between her and him.

Sabrina slammed the door loudly. She lay down on the bed crying. Should she just give up? Why was it so hard to keep the forbidden relationship?

Unable to stand the silence of the room, Sabrina went outside for a walk. When it was dark like this, she could be sure that Adam and Maya had entered the room, doing lovey-dovey things that he said were an obligation.

Sabrina thought not seeing Adam and Maya making out would make her feel better. However, it was not like that. Her mind was filled with images of him making love with Maya. The same hand that touched her must also have touched that woman. Everything that was in Adam was not only hers but also Maya's.

It was really hard to share a man she loved if it wasn't for love. There's no way she would have agreed to live a silly life.

Sabrina decided to swim to forget everything. As he walked by the hotel swimming pool, he suddenly bumped into someone's body, a hard one.

Sabrina fell on top of a tall, muscular man, taller and more athletic than Adam. His green eyes stared intently at her, and his blonde hair reminded her of someone she knew.

"Leo?" asked Sabrina in surprise. "You're Leonardo Warren, no?"

"Bree?" The man named Leo was both surprised and happy to find Sabrina in his arms. "Long time no see, gorgeous!"

When Sabrina realized how inappropriate their current poses were, she immediately stood up and pulled her towel tighter. Embarrassed, she lowered her head and apologized to the handsome creature before her.

"Sorry, I should have been more careful," Sabrina said, not looking Leo in the face because of their bad last encounter. "Clumsy is my middle name. Ahahahaha!" Sabrina added, laughing even though she knew her words weren't funny at all.

However, Leo laughed crisply. "It's okay! You're not that heavy, Bree! I loved your weight on me," he answered casually. "How are you?" He looked at her with a seductive look.

"Of course, I'm fine. As you can see right now. Healthy and happy, right?" Sabrina answered Leo's question formally. They then chatted on a bench by the swimming pool.

"Hahaha, right! You do look sexier than the last time we met," Leo joked without hesitation. He used to speak his mind bluntly.

Leo was Sabrina's former lover. When the woman was tired of fighting for love and trying to run from Adam, she dated Leo. However, they separated because, in the end, Sabrina couldn't forget Adam.

She had a bad experience with Leo. She was extremely embarrassed because of one or two inappropriate things that happened in the past.

Sabrina accidentally called out Adam's name when Leo was about to make love to her. Soon after, they both chose not to take their relationship to the next level. A month later, Sabrina decided to come back to Adam, even though she had to become Adam's secret lover.

"You're still together with Adam?" Leo asked casually. He wanted to know the development of Sabrina's current love affair.

Sabrina just nodded slowly. However, her current bad mood made her pretty face too honest, sad, and somber. She was like what people said: an open book to Leo. Even though he wasn't sensitive to women's feelings, the man knew that Sabrina wasn't happy.

"Bree, are you all right?" Leo asked, concerned. He took a sip of the cold drink at the table that the waiter had just brought over.

"I already told you that I'm fine, Leo," Sabrina replied bitterly. She then took a sip of her drink. "Oh, what is this? So sour," Sabrina grumbled.

Leo took Sabrina's drink and tasted it. “It might be… um … lime. It looks like you ordered the wrong one because they added something else. Maybe … the super sour star fruit?”

"Crap! My life sucks," Sabrina grumbled with a very annoyed face.

Leo, who felt bad, immediately ordered a new drink for Sabrina. The man called the waiter and ordered a sweet fruit milkshake for Sabrina.

"Please bring a strawberry milkshake for the lady!" said Leo to the waiter.

"I don't want a milkshake, Leo," Sabrina protested again. Her face crumpled in annoyance because Leo couldn't remember things she didn't like.

"Okay, just mango juice then," Leo said to the waiter who was forced to cross out the order that was made earlier.

This time Sabrina did not protest. Leo took her silence as a sign of approval. However, it turned out that Sabrina's mood cannot be fixed with just a glass of sweet mango juice. Leo still saw traces of disappointment in that beautiful and sexy figure who was lazily stirring the juices.

"Shall we have a party? Drinking the problem away will be fun, no?" Leo tried to cheer her up. The childish smile on Leo's face conveyed sincerity. "It is on me!" he added so that Sabrina would not refuse because the price of drinks provided by the rooftop bar at the hotel was quite expensive.

Sabrina laughed at Leo's way of speaking. "Oh, mister, so … do you have a lot of money now?" asked Sabrina in a joking tone. In the past, they used to share the bills.

"Not bad! I work as a bodyguard now. The pay is quite high," Leo replied with a sweet smile, making his masculine face look childish.

"Okay! I'm honored to receive your hard-earned money," Sabrina replied in the end.

"Good, you can smile now," Leo said, feeling relieved. He cast a glance full of admiration at Sabrina's beautiful smile.

"Thank you," Sabrina whispered, still smiling. At least, she felt that she would have fun and be able to forget all the troubles for a moment tonight.

Moments later, Sabrina followed Leo to a rooftop bar and had a great time there. She accompanied Leo for drinks and danced together.

"You're still an amazing dancer, Bree!" Leo exclaimed while shaking his body, following the music played by a famous DJ. "It feels good to dance with you again after such a long time."

"Oh, can you just shut your player mouth?" Sabrina brushed it aside as she knew Leo's old habits all too well. The man really loved to change partners, just like changing his socks. In fact, he felt that having a relationship without commitment was more suitable for him. "You always say this to all the women on the dance floor, don't you?" she added as she raised her hands, shaking her round ass. She was getting more and more enthusiastic.

Leo burst out laughing. He was happy because Sabrina looked so amused by dancing. “You should party a lot, Bree! Your life will end if you just lock yourself in your gloomy room.”

Sabrina just nodded at Leo's advice. She did not deny it because she was too lazy to argue. Moments later, the woman looked at the watch on her left wrist that read 11:00 p.m. In an hour, Adam would go to her room. There was still enough time to go back to the room and clean up. She didn't want Adam to smell the cigarette off of her body.

“I have to go back to my room?” she said in regret.

“What? Curview?” Leo asked in disbelief.

Sabrina packed her things up. The man offered to take her to the room. Sabrina felt bad for rejecting Leo's kindness. The two of them walked into the room casually.

When they were about to part ways, Leo, who was still under the influence of alcohol, suddenly pulled Sabrina's body and claimed her plump lips without permission. She tried to refuse, but couldn't. Then, over time, she dissolved into his deep kiss. She couldn’t help enjoying it, he was such a great kisser.

After a while, Leo pulled away from the kiss. Sabrina could feel his hot breath, heavy with the scent of alcohol, brushing against her face.

"I'm in room 703. Here's my phone number. Come to my room if you'd like, or call me if you need anything. I'll be there for you, Bree!" Leo said in a hoarse voice, his eyes full of desire, tempting any woman to crawl happily into his bed.

Sabrina stared at Leo, stunned. She didn't expect that the chat would develop this far. "What do you mean by inviting me to your room, huh?" Sabrina's eyes fell on Leo in annoyance.

"Just kidding!" replied Leo, who was now laughing his butt off. His body was still unable to straighten up due to the alcohol. "I'm on vacation. Next week I'll be working with a new client. So, why don’t we make this week count?"

Sabrina couldn't help laughing too. "Damn! You almost made me misunderstand you!" she said, quite relieved. “I have Adam. Don't make me betray him!” Sabrina said as she hit Leo's chest gently.

Leo immediately returned to his room via the stairs. Meanwhile, Sabrina, still feeling confused and her heart pounding fast from Leo's kiss, hurried into her own room. She knew she needed to freshen up quickly. She couldn't greet Adam with the scent of another man clinging to her body.

"Gosh, Adam will be mad if he smells Leo's perfume on my shirt," Sabrina thought to herself. She slapped her face, realizing that kissing another man while she was in a relationship was a mistake and a betrayal to Adam.

"Oh, Sabrina! Sabrina! What did you just do with Leo? You have Adam, Bree!" she scolded herself, regretting everything that had happened. She knew Leo couldn't be completely blamed because he didn't know the situation.

As Sabrina was about to go into the bathroom, the doorbell suddenly rang. Her heart started pounding. Who could it be? Adam?

When Sabrina looked through the peephole, she saw that it was indeed her husband who had come to her room early. "Oh no, what do I do?" she panicked. She had to open the door immediately to avoid suspicion.

As soon as she opened the door, she saw Adam's sour face. He was staring at her intently. In an unfriendly voice, he asked, "Where have you been?"
