Liam’s body was wracked with pain as he lay on the ground, his arms and legs chained to the wall. Penelope’s father, the alpha of the pack, stood over him, his eyes filled with rage.

He had been captured by Penelope’s pack and was now at the mercy of her father, who demanded to know where his daughter was.

“Where is she?” the alpha demanded, his voice laced with venom. “What have you done with my daughter?”

Liam winced, the pain in his body making it difficult to think. “I swear, I didn’t do anything to her,” he said.

Penelope’s father, a large and imposing man, glared at Liam with fiery eyes. “Don’t play games with me, boy. I know you’re lying.” The alpha snarled, his face contorting with anger. “Lycans! You’re all the same – you’re monsters, every last one of you.”

Liam gritted his teeth, his blood boiling at the alpha’s words. “That’s not true,” he said, his voice low and dangerous. “We’re not monsters. We’re just like you – we want to live in peace.”
