Marly POV

I saw the look on their faces and my heart sank. If they had not known, their treatment of me would have been random. That they had known, meant their treatment had been intentional. And that would be more devastating to me. Why or how could someone hate someone … a baby no less … so much?

I stepped forward as the couple both began to struggle against the bonds of the guards holding them. I stepped toward the man first, reaching out, “Do not touch me, you freak!” he exclaimed. My hand waivered for a moment before I looked him in the eyes and saw his fear.

I reached my hand out firmly and grabbed a hold of his arm. I am instantly thrown back to that day. I staggered backwards and immediately felt Carson’s arms around me, steadying me. I saw the moment Aggie was born. There was love in that room. There was pride in the room.

And then I saw the King’s brother approach the man, and they spoke sof

  • The Lycan's Powerful Omega   Chapter 59 - Left Behind

Marly POV “Marly, it is time,” Carson said softly. I had felt him watching me for the past couple of minutes while I stood on the patio, and I could feel him moving towards me now. “Just go,” she said, not turning to look at him. He moved forward, wrapping his arms around my waist, “Please understand,” he started to say when I cut him off. “I do not understand, and I will not pretend to,” I responded. “This is the right thing to do, Marly. It is not easy for me either,” Carson replied, starting to sound frustrated with the situation. I stepped away from him, out of his arms and turned to look at him, tears filling my eyes. “I am sorry for you, but you are not the one being left behind. The one not deemed good enough,” I stated, watching surprise roll over his face. “Marly, I never said you were not good enough,” he said, but I ignored him and stepped around his body. He tried to grab a hold of my hand, but I pulled away be

  • The Lycan's Powerful Omega   Chapter 58 - Enough

Marly POV My head continued pounding, and all I could do was continue to take the medication to help ease the pain. Carson had been encouraging me to keep hydrated, while I tried to remember if I missed anything while reading the King’s brother. I could hardly call him my uncle. I despised the man for all the damage he had caused. “I need to go back and get more information,” I commented as I stood on wavering legs. Carson grabbed my arm before I fell back on the couch, “It can wait,” he muttered as the King and Queen watched with concern in their eyes. “Carson is right. Nobody is going anywhere,” the King suggested. “Don’t you want to know more?” I asked, confused by the King’s response. “Desperately,” Queen Jasmine said quickly. Tears filled her eyes, “The fact that I was able to be tricked into believing I only had one child, and not two, is devastating to me. What kind of mother am I?” she questioned, as the Ki

  • The Lycan's Powerful Omega   Chapter 57 - Clues

Carson POV When Marly passed out, I swept her into my arms and carried her back to our room. The King and Queen were on my heels, “What did she mean, she has a twin brother?” the King yelled. “I have no idea, but right now Marly is my main concern,” I replied, keeping a lid on my anger. Marly was always exhausted after a session, but this one took a lot out of her. She was surrounded by evil intentions, and I had to wonder if that was what had caused her to pass out after reading her uncle. I looked down into Marly’s face, only to see her still asleep. “I am taking her back to our room. She needs rest,” I commented to the royal couple. Both were still following me, not listening to what I was saying. “I said …,” I started to say when I was cut off, “We heard you. She is our daughter, and we will do what we can to help her,” the Queen stated angrily. “Perhaps we should take her to the hospital?” the King que

Marly POV Carson and I spent the next couple of hours loving and resting. After we showered together, we got dressed and went searching for the King and Queen. We found them where we had left them, in the King’s office. “I am ready,” I commented, as we were welcomed into the office. “Marly, I want to apologize for my demands earlier. I did not take into consideration the pressure this work puts on you,” the King stated as he moved to stand in front of me. “I am learning, just as you are. We have never had someone in our family who could read the past when touching another human. It makes me wonder what other talents will start to surface, now that you are here,” he added. “What do you mean, now that I am here?” I asked, as Carson stood beside me. The Queen had also moved forward. “Had you been raised here; we would have seen signs of your talents. Because you were raised away from the protection of the palace, your wolf ha

  • The Lycan's Powerful Omega   Chapter 55 - Break

Marly POV I was surprised at how much it hurt to hear the King protect Aggie. I knew they had raised her and, in that time, loved her as his own. But it still hurt that they were not specifically outraged at the fact that I grew up without love. I knew Carson held that anger, but I did not want him to bear that burden. “Let us go to the dungeons. I want to question my siblings and then move forward with punishments,” the King said, moving towards the door. Carson growled, “Wait a damn minute. She is not a machine and needs time to recover from this. Not to mention the emotional damage this knowledge is causing Marly.”. The King’s steps faltered as the Queen moved to stand closer to me. “We are sorry, Marly. We just want to make this right,” she said, as I looked at her. “None of this can ever be made right,” I muttered as I stepped away from her. I was feeling suffocated and needed space. “Of course it c

  • The Lycan's Powerful Omega   Chapter 53 - Future

Carson POV We had met with the King, and I was now lost in my thoughts thinking about what this all meant for Marly. I could not take her away from her destiny, but I also could not leave my own pack behind. “You were never meant to lead the Full Moon Pack forever,” the King commented to me on the side. “What do you mean?” I asked, confused by his words. “I mean I always saw more for you. I saw you involved in the leadership at the palace in some way, and now here we are,” he replied with a smile. “I am not ready to walk away from the Full Moon Pack,” I commented quietly not wanting Jeff and Sarah to hear our discussion. The King looked over to the pair, as they were looking through the Kingdom archives. “Do you not feel Jeff may want to take over his own pack one day? That this might make sense for him?” the King asked. I nodded, “I already had Red Pines Pack in mind for him,” I admitted knowing I needed to establish an Alp

  • The Lycan's Powerful Omega   Chapter 52 - Similarities

Marly POV I was still questioning my decision the next day as the Queen, and I met after breakfast. “I know you had a difficult childhood; were there any good points?” the Queen asked tentatively. It was difficult to share a lifetime of neglect and pain. I considered her question before replying. “I feel like my life started to become my own when Carson rescued me,” I told her. She sat silently, waiting for me to continue. “He has been my rock. I did not think I wanted a mate. I was hell bent on leaving my life behind and going to live with the humans,” I admitted. The Queen looked at me in surprise, “What about your wolf?” she asked. “At that point, I had no wolf. My wolf communicated with me, but we did not shift on my eighteenth birthday. We did not shift until after going to Carson’s pack,” I shared. Queen Jasmine nodded, “That makes sense. Your wolf would only feel safe coming out with your mate there to help protec

  • The Lycan's Powerful Omega   Chapter 51 - How?

Carson POV I stepped closer to Marly as she processed the information. “That is not possible,” the Queen mumbled as we all stood there in shock. “Do another test,” Marly demanded, clearly confused with what she was hearing. “I have run the test three times; the results are conclusive,” the doctor stated. “How?” the King questioned. “It was a difficult birth. I was exhausted, you were exhausted. I remember they took our baby girl out of the room. They had said it was to give us a break,” the Queen said, her lips trembling. “You were there; do you remember anything?” the King said to his brother and sister. Both shook their heads no, “We got there after the birth. We saw nothing,” the brother noted quickly. “She was a beautiful baby,” the sister added. I was uncertain if she was now speaking about Marly or Aggie. “If Marly is your daughter, then who is Aggie?” the brother asked. “Where is Aggie? We need
