Chapter One

Sebastian’s POV

“The fuck is wrong with you?!” I spat at the poor thing standing before me.

“Wait, what are you even doing here?” I asked, observing him like a complete piece of trash.

His face glowed with an aura I couldn't match, one I found disrespectful and somewhat intimidating.

“I'm sorry,” he quietly said and turned to leave.

My head was rocked with rage and I pulled him back, but once again, I melted when our faces met, my heart raced with wrath and something else. My soul trembled inside, despite the craze my body was about to unleash.

“How dare you walk away from me?!” I snarled, my voice deadly and lethal. My grip tightened on his shirt and I leaned in closer, growling angrily into his ears. “These sneakers cost more than your family makes in a month and you dare step on them?”

He didn't say a word and his eyes were focused on mine. He felt every breath of me on him and didn't flinch, not even a single time and somehow, it annoyed me the more.

Slowly, he grabbed my hand and took them off his shirt. It felt like I was charmed as I just stood, watching him straighten his shirt. He turned to me once again, smiled for a few seconds and slowly, his face folded into a scowl as he walked away.

I was glued to the spot, burning with rage as I watched him walk away. My jaws were clenched hard and so was my fist.

“Fuck you!” I yelled, and kicked my legs in frustration. I wanted him to turn back at me, come for a fight, so I'll teach him the lesson of his life, but he didn't say a word.

He didn't even turn back. He only made me look like a fool in the garage.

I grumbled angrily as I headed back in, my mind racing with thoughts.

Who's that kid?

What gave him the audacity to disrespect me?

Hmmm?

I took off the sneakers and just tossed them aside with a sigh and a face filled with disgust.

I ain't gonna wear those anymore. He's stained it.

I grabbed another pair and stuck my legs in them, grumbling and mumbling all the way.

Finally, I slammed the door of my room and stormed downstairs, my mind still racing and my heart burning hot with fury.

“George!” I called and he quickly ran out, but the stench of poverty made my stomach churn.

“Nah, never mind. Just get out!” I slammed and huffed.

First, that piece of shit disrespected me, now the cleaner smells just like him! I wonder why James isn't around. He's supposed to be the one to wash my car, but he ain't and I've got to give it to the car wash opposite my house.

I just hate humans—poor people especially, they just have this bad smell that pisses me off.

After I grabbed the car, I was about to leave when my phone rang.

Grabbing it quickly, my eyes scanned it carefully and it was mom.

“Sebastian,” she wailed in a low tone. “Where are you, he'll soon be here. You can't be late on your first dinner with your step dad and step brother,” she scolded, her voice firm.

“I'm on my way,” I replied calmly and ended the call.

My eyes were focused on the road as I moved slowly, my fist tightly wrapped around the wheels, my head nodding softly to the music playing in the background.

Oh man!” I cried, pounding the chair.

The annoying rain has started and now, I'll have to return this car to those same wretches to wash.

A deep sigh escaped my lips and I just thought, maybe I should just go back.

But nah, mom wouldn't be happy. I just continued and after driving a few more meters, my eyes caught someone by the sidewalk.

Wait, hope am not mistaken?

That's him, the same rat that had the guts to disrespect me!

Yes, it's him, walking under the rain with an umbrella.

Cool! Now I'll teach you a lesson.

I sped up, seeing he was wearing a white shirt, and I timed the small water gathered by the side and swerved in it, splashing the dirt all over him.

“Hey!” He cried and I just sped off, laughing hard.

Next time, you learn to respect me.

Soon, I was back at home, the magnificent and wonderful mansion that had this ever fresh and refreshing scent of wealth and peace. The walls spoke power, the type only I was expected to wield.

I drove in and parked quickly. Hurrying up, mom was already seated with a pale face.

“Where have you been?”

I didn't say a word, I just made an awkward gesture and sat with her on the table.

She kept on rambling and talking all about him, his son, how good he was and ah!

“Elena,” I turned sharply when I heard a voice behind me and she quickly rushed over and hugged him warmly.

“Lucas, meet Sebastian,” she quickly introduced him to me and I smiled at him, shaking hands with him and sat back at the table.

He was a tall and slender man, with curly hair, just the exact spec of my mom. Calmly, I accessed his suit, it looked good, his loafers too, classic.

Mmm, mom still had good taste, I can't deny.

They kept on talking and I just did the listening, but I remember she said meeting with him and his son? It piqued my interest why he wasn't here yet.

“Uhm, sorry to interrupt, but where's…”

“Oh,” he quickly cut in. “He's on his way. He'll be late, he said he had a small issue while he was coming, but he'll be here soon,” he chuckled and mom flirted with him.

“Mmm,” I nodded and just mulched the food in my mouth.

After the food, he still wasn't here. And I couldn't just sit here and watch adults flirt, acting like I wasn't seeing them.

I cleared my throat sharply and stood up.

“I'll be upstairs,” I announced and they smiled.

I headed up, my mind sick with their annoying and childish behavior, but just when I was a few more steps to my room, I heard the door open.

“Eli,” his voice chimed with joy as he ran.

“Sebastian! He's here!” Mom called and I slowly descended once again with a soft sigh.

My face was bent low and my arms were folded.

“Sebastian, meet Eli Brooks, your new brother,” Mom's voice was full of joy as she announced and I stretched my hands forward to exchange a handshake but when my eyes met with his, my mouth

went agape immediately and my heart skipped a beat.

What, no! The same annoying kid from the car wash!

“You?”
