Alia woke up, her head heavy, a bit dizzy and confused.

She tried to sit up on the bed, holding her throbbing head. Then she realized she was… naked?!

“Wh–What? Wh–Why am I…” she started to panic.

She looked to the side when she heard a groan beside her. There was someone next to her.

Her hands trembled as her fingers gripped the bedsheet. She pulled it up to see who it was—and to her horror, expecting it to be her husband, it was a stranger. Someone she didn’t even know.

She screamed in panic. “Ahhhh!”

Her loud scream made the man beside her sit up abruptly. “Waaah! Wh–What’s happening?!”

Alia quickly moved aside, covering her naked body with the bedsheet as the man looked around in confusion. When he realized the situation, he glared at her.

“What is wrong with you?! Why are you yelling?!” the man shouted angrily.

“Why are you angry?! I should be the one angry right now! Who are you?! Why are you in my husband’s and my bedroom?!” she yelled back.

She stood from the bed and grabbed the scattered clothes on the floor. Rushing to the bathroom, she tried to put them on—but before she could finish, she heard the bedroom door being forced open.

“Wh–Who…”

Before she could open the door, it was kicked open by Jasper—her husband.

Alia froze in panic when Jasper saw a stranger, naked, in their bed.

What husband wouldn’t think his wife had done something unforgivable in their own bedroom—naked, no less?

“Wa–Wait, Jasper, let me explain—”

Before she could even start, he slapped her.

The slap was so strong it made her fall hard to the floor.

She lost consciousness for a second. When she came to, her head was spinning. Her cheek stung and her mouth filled with the taste of blood. She spat it out and realized—one of her teeth was broken.

Alia looked up at her husband, her face pitiful and bruised.

“Jasper, please, let me explain. It’s not what you think it is. Please, listen to me, I beg you!” she pleaded.

“Shut up!” Jasper roared, his hands trembling with rage.

“But—”

Her plea was cut short by a familiar voice behind Jasper.

“Oh my! Alia! What the hell is happening here?! Why are you in bed with another man aside from your husband? What were you thinking?!”

Rhea pretended to be shocked and horrified by the scene—but deep inside, she was delighted to see Jasper slap Alia.

Rhea walked closer, reaching a hand toward her, but before Alia could take it, Rhea jerked back dramatically.

“Alia, I just wanted to help you. Why slap my hand away? Do you hate me that much?” she cried in a saddened tone.

“I–I didn’t—”

“Don’t waste your kindness on her!” Jasper shouted. “She doesn’t appreciate it! Let her act like the victim—she’s good at it!”

Alia and Rhea both flinched at Jasper’s voice. Rhea secretly smirked before speaking again, pretending to persuade him.

“Jasper, let’s listen to her first. Let’s not jump to conclusions without hearing Alia’s explanation.”

“Why should I listen to her? It’s clear she slept with another man! It’s disgusting enough that we had s*x because of her manipulations—and now she’s done it again, this time with someone else! How repulsive!”

“Ja–Jasper…” Alia’s lips trembled, her eyes welling with tears. His words stabbed deeper than any slap.

She snapped.

“So that’s what you think of me,” she said, smiling bitterly.

Now she understood why her husband had always been so distant.

Alia stood up and walked out of the room, barefoot and trembling. She ignored Jasper’s insults and Rhea’s fake sympathy.

When she reached the living room, her knees buckled, and she fell to the floor. Someone grabbed her hair roughly, jerking her head back.

Looking up, she saw Jasper’s mother—Joana—glowering at her like she was a filthy street rat.

“You filthy peasant! How dare you cheat on my son and bring your lover into this house to have s*x in his bed!” Joana screamed, shaking her head by the hair she held.

Alia was a mess, and Joana’s hits only made her look more pitiful. She was used to the older woman’s insults—but being humiliated in front of the maids still crushed her.

Jasper just stood there, watching. He didn’t even try to stop his mother.

When had he ever cared for her? Never.

“Get out!” Joana shouted. “My son will file for divorce after this scandal you caused! You’re not only an opportunist—you’re a fcking slt! You deserve to rot in hell!”

Humiliated and broken, Alia stood up and ran out of the mansion.

She ran blindly into the street, tears blurring her vision. She didn’t see the car coming.

BAM!

Her body hit the ground hard, rolling across the asphalt. Pain exploded everywhere. Blood poured from her abdomen.

“M–My… ba–baby… s–save… my… baby…” she gasped weakly, trying to call for help.

She was more than five months pregnant. Even though she and Jasper had slept together only once, it had been enough. Despite his disgust, she had endured everything—for their child. She’d hoped he would change once the baby was born.

Jasper, Joana, and Rhea—who had followed her outside—saw everything. They stood frozen in shock.

Rhea clung to Jasper, trembling in “fear” at the sight of blood.

Alia saw them hugging. Anyone who didn’t know better would think they were the married couple.

She wanted to laugh at how pathetic she must look—for still hoping Jasper cared. But she couldn’t even smile.

Jasper knew she was pregnant.

Yet he didn’t move. He didn’t run to help her.

Her vision dimmed. Her tears mixed with the blood pooling beneath her.

She was scared—terrified—but there was nothing she could do.

Before her eyes fluttered shut, she witnessed something she never expected.

  • When Yesterday Came Back   Chapter 103

“Believe whatever you want,” Alia said coldly. “I don’t give a damn anymore.”She had stopped caring whether Jasper believed her or not. There was no point in explaining herself—she had grown tired of repeating her side, only to be dismissed. What’s the point, anyway? In his eyes, Rhea will always be right. If she kept insisting, she would only end up looking desperate. After saying her piece, Alia gave Kyle a slight nod, silently signaling him to leave. Kyle caught the hint immediately and stepped forward, not sparing Rhea or the man beside her another glance.Alia had only taken a few steps when someone suddenly grabbed her wrist. It was Jasper. Before she could react, Kyle moved instinctively and pulled her back, his grip firm as he placed himself between them.He couldn’t stay silent this time. The look on Jasper’s face was enough to make Kyle think the man might hurt her—and that alone was reason enough to act. After all, Alia wasn’t just anyone to him. She was his mentor—someone

Alia smirked as she watched Rhea’s reaction. From the way her expression cracked for a split second, she knew she had guessed right. As expected, she thought.Kyle pressed his lips together, trying to stifle his laughter, but the amusement was obvious in his eyes.Seeing the two of them barely holding back, irritation surged within Rhea. How dare they humiliate me like this? she thought angrily. But she quickly suppressed it. She couldn’t afford to drop the gentle, fragile image she had so carefully built. Her eyes shimmered as she forced out a shaky breath. Pulling out a handkerchief, she dabbed the corners of her eyes, as if holding back her tears.“Alia… didn’t we agree before that we should get along?” she said softly. “Do you still hate me?”Alia’s brow lifted, clearly unimpressed.“I’ll give you that, Rhea,” she said lazily. “Your acting’s impressive. You almost had me there.” She tilted her head slightly. “You should really consider a career in acting.”Taking it as sarcasm—but

“Mr. Alvarro, I know my request may sound unreasonable, but I truly hope you’ll consider—” “No,” he interrupted. Rhea froze. She hadn’t expected such a blunt rejection. For a moment, she considered softening her stance—perhaps playing pitiful—but one look at Kyle’s expression told her that wouldn’t work. Quickly, she shifted strategies. “Mr. Alvarro,” she said, maintaining her innocent smile, “may I ask why you immediately refused?” Kyle’s expression didn’t change. “I’ll be honest with you, Ms. Caldwell. The reason I rejected your request is because my mentor doesn’t accept any students aside from me.” Rhea refused to back down. “Then perhaps you could ask your mentor to reconsider?” she pressed gently. “I may not be as skilled as you, Mr. Alvarro, but I am talented in violin. Maybe your mentor could test me first before deciding whether to reject me.” Kyle felt a flicker of annoyance at her persistence. Before responding, he glanced at Alia

Alia quickly walked out of the royal box and, without thinking, kept walking for several minutes before realizing she didn’t even know where the bathroom was. That only made her feel more embarrassed than before. She looked around until she spotted a staff member passing by. She quickly approached them and asked for directions. After being guided, she thanked the staff and headed toward the bathroom.Once inside, she went straight to the sink, turned on the tap, and splashed water on her face, trying to wash away her embarrassment. After splashing her face with water, she remembered how she had slipped earlier. If only she hadn’t cared so much about Marilyn and had stopped talking, she might not have slipped in the first place. So freaking stupid, she thought. She splashed her face again, as if trying to wash away not only her embarrassment, but her own stupidity as well. After a few minutes, she finally stepped out.She retraced her steps, walking back the same way she came. After a

Marilyn stomped her heels angrily.“You’re unbelievable!” she snapped, turning to leave.Seeing this, Alia quickly called out, “Wait, Ms. Caruso—”“Let her leave,” Knight interrupted. He sat back in his seat, completely unbothered.Alia glanced at him, watching as he leisurely ate grapes as if nothing had happened.“Aren’t you going to run after Ms. Caruso?” she asked, unable to stop herself. She still felt guilty about what Knight had done earlier.“She’s fine,” Knight replied casually. “Didn’t you see how fast she stood up and left?”Alia was left speechless. She didn’t know how to respond. Knight looked utterly unconcerned, as though the incident meant nothing to him. Seeing his indifference, she decided not to press further.Instead, she shifted her attention forward, gazing down from the royal box where they were seated. After a few minutes, the lights dimmed. Darkness filled the venue, and only a single spotlight illuminated the stage. The large velvet curtains slowly opened, an

“Miss, what are you doing?”“Ahh!”Alia jolted in fright at the sudden voice behind her. She quickly turned around, clutching her chest. Her heart pounded like she had just run a marathon; her breathing quickened, and a thin layer of sweat formed on her skin.It was a staff member pushing a food cart. The staff roamed around the royal boxes, offering and delivering food and drinks to VIPs. While making his rounds, he noticed a woman leaning close to a door, which made him curious enough to approach. What he didn’t expect was for her to be so startled by his presence.“I—I’m sorry! Sorry for frightening you, Miss. I didn’t mean to,” he quickly apologized.Alia let out a breath, calming herself before speaking. “It’s alright.”“May I ask what you’re doing here, Miss? You don’t look suspicious, judging by the way you’re dressed. Why not open the door and go inside?” the staff asked curiously.Alia felt embarrassed that someone had caught her. She didn’t want to answer, but she had no cho
