Chapter 31

Jenna's POV 

My throat started drying out. I didn't want to do this, but it's for the better. Kalen's daughter is a teenager. Still too young and naive. Teenagers often regret their decisions in future. 

If she's shown the right path now, she'll be grateful. So for her and for my revenge, I broke Kalen's heart. 

"I heard he's shagging his step granddaughter, who is barely sixteen."

"WHAT THE HELL!" He banged a hand on the table, forming cracks on it as our glasses of juice quivered and spilled the liquid out. 

"Mr. Kalen, you are... Why are you so enraged?" I faked surprise. 

However, he threw the table away and grabbed my arms painfully. I winced in pain. Pluto was asking me if he should interfere. I told him not to. I know in my heart Kalen won't hurt me. 

"TAKE YOUR WORDS BACK, LUNA! You are lying, aren't you? Henry isn't doing that with my daughter."

"Y-you daughter," I purposely dropped my jaw to look baffled. "The g-girl Henry is shagging— I mean, he's sexually exploiting your daughter?" 

"Yes, Monica, that's my daughter. And Doctor Henry of Power Wolf pack, your ex-husband's trusted senior doctor is my father-in-law! I'm married to his daughter." Tears of anger and agony strolled down his eyes. 

Seeing them made me feel like someone shot me between my eyes. His face was pale and his lips trembling, while with his eyes he begged me to say I was lying. 

"Unfortunately, I'm not lying, Mr. Kalen. And I am sorry I had no idea Henry is... Erm, it's your daughter he's got his eyes on. But trust me, I have the right information. In fact," I blew out a breath. "That pedophile got your teenage daughter and took her to a small pack to abort the baby in secrecy. I have the document here."

"N-no..." He whispered as I showed him a fake abortion document written under his daughter's name. 

I got this information when we were coming here. I was in the car when Jace told it to me. His tech team had hacked into Monica's mobile phone to get more information— And we found a conversation where she was telling Henry about being pregnant.

He was shocked and asked her to meet him with some small pack. He was going to perform her abortion himself.

That being said, there couldn't be any evidence. But I made this fake document with ai—Exactly how Henry had made a fake DNA report six months ago to prove my child wasn't Chris'.

"M-monica said she was g-going camping to that pack with her friends. H-how could this..." He trailed off, biting his lips to keep in his emotions.

"I'm sorry, Mr. Kalen. I can only imagine the pain you're going through. Although you saved Kayla from monsters, your own daughter..." I sighed. "I'm sorry. The damage is done. What you can do now is protect your daughter from those monsters."

"I'll kill him." He growled.

"That's what I wanted to do to him but I got pregnant and had to postpone it. When my son was delivered, he had already conspired against me and threw him out. I wish I could help you, Mr. Kalen."

"You can help me, Luna. Come with me." He grabbed my wrist and pulled me with him.

On our way out, he told the shop owner to not worry about the damage he did, he would pay for it. Then we sat inside his jeep and started driving towards his house. I looked at him and gulped. Fury was oozing off him in waves.

Kalen's knuckles were hot white on the steering wheel as his jaw was clenched so hard I was afraid he might break it. Not to mention he was driving at a high speed. We jumped on speed breakers and the tires screeched like a monster in pain.

As the car came to a halt, I was jerked forward. Saving myself before I hit the windshield, I gulped and stepped out.

"Come inside, Luna." He grasped my wrist again.

"But where are you taking me, Mr. Kalen?"

"To confront the pedophilé!"

"He's at your house?"

"He came with his Alpha to meet his daughter while his Alpha was discussing a treaty with my Alpha." His voice was pure rage.

He kicked the door open, throwing it off the hinges.

"Honey, what's wrong?" Henry's daughter was serving his father in the living room a glass of lemonade when we walked in.

"Where is Monica?" Kalen boomed.

"M-monica is in the room." Kalen's wife and Henry's daughter stammered. 

She was a healthy woman with short height. Her hair was curly and she cast her gaze between us fearfully. 

"You! What the hell are you doing here, cheating slůt!" Henry rose from the couch with a shout. 

"Sit back, bastard. And dare you use that tone with the respectful Luna!" Kalen shoved him back, making him fall with a gasp. 

"Kalen, son, you didn't get manipulated by her, did you? She is a—" 

"MONICA! MONICA, COME DOWN HERE! MONICA!" I held my chest as Kalen's voice reverberated in the hall. 

Henry and his daughter, Brienne were exchanging stares. They were probably talking on the link. I could've shoved my way in to overhear their thoughts but loud footsteps caught my attention. 

I gazed ahead at the staircase at the legs that appeared. Monica was a beautiful young girl with pale skin and brown hair. She had dark circles. Her shoulder shrank as her eyes set on her father. 

"Y-yes, dad?"

"Come down here." Kalen pointed before him. 

His daughter walked down, her eyes wavering in fright and other emotions, "Y-yes?" 

"Two weeks ago, you said you were going camping with your friends. Where have you really gone?" 

"D-dad," She gulped hard. 

Her eyes instinctively jumped to Henry who sat there ashen faced. He subtly nodded his head, warning her to say nothing. 

That's when I butted in, "It's not her fault, Mr. Kalen. She's a young naive girl. She hasn't seen the world beyond the fields in this pack. Be gentle with her."

"You sowed the seeds of doubt in my son-in-law's mind, didn't you?" Henry got up and grasped Kalen's hand. "Kalen, don't listen to her. She cheated on her Alpha mate. She's not trustworthy. She ruined her own life and—" 

"I'M WAITING FOR YOUR ANSWER, MONICA!" Kalen's howl spoke over Henry's. "Tell me where you went two weeks ago?" 

"Dad, I... I—"

"Mr. Kalen, please. You're intimidating her. She recently had an abortion. Her body is weak. You can trigger a panic attack." I pulled Monica in my arms and she quickly hugged me. 

"A-abortion? Honey, what is she saying?" Henry's daughter covered her mouth. 

"Yeah, abortion. My daughter was fooled and taken advantage of. Do you know who that was? Your pedophile father." Kalen hollered, his wife flinched back as Henry staggered backwards. 

He stammered but his words weren't coherent. Then he looked at me, scowling, "Y-you poisoned h-him against me, bìtch. You couldn't save your own marriage, so now you're trying to destroy my daughter's. I will kill you, whøre."

He lunged at me.
