Elizabeth's POVMy legs shook unsteadily as I made my way to Nathan's chambers. This wasn't good. Elijah had caught me with the boy servant. I knew that our relationship was over, but I needed every edge I could hold on to—something that would keep me here. "Why do you look like that?" Nathan asked as soon as our eyes met. "He caught me with the boy; our plan is over," I said, hoping that I could use what I knew he wanted most to get him to do one favor for me. "I told you from the beginning that it was a dumb idea, he already doesn't like you and you are doing everything possible to make sure he hates you more. That man practically wants you gone and he wants me to take you with me. Which is actually him being generous as opposed to having you disgraced out of the palace" he said and my body shivered at the possibility of that. "But you know if I leave, your one chance at being the Alpha is taken back to point zero. I just need you to get me in and I will handle the rest" I said

Maria's POV "And you are sure about what you saw?" Elijah asked me and I nodded my head. "I think we should move her somewhere else. Keep it away from everyone for a while and see what happens. I have tried to tell her that it is nothing but as you can see, that has not worked" Elvira said as she unwrapped the apparatus for checking my heart rate from my arm. "Guys, I'm serious. I know what I saw, but it's fine. I don't mind changing my house at this point. It is beginning to hold a lot of memories that I am not willing to keep." I added tiredly. "I'll have you moved before night falls. Just take your personal items," Elijah said, and I nodded my head. The two of them left me after fawning over me for another hour. I was tired and all I wanted to do was to have a quick nap. I had a slow breakfast and a quick bath, wanting to sleep as soon as I could before I started packing my things. Suddenly I felt it, a strange presence in the room that immediately made me have chills. I stoo

Sophia's POV "Mother, I have good news. The one whom we have searched for so long is now within our reach." I announced to my mother in the comfort of my chambers with the door tightly bolted. I couldn't afford any more mistakes like what happened the last time. "Why do you say so?" She asked me, her eyes piqued in curiosity. "One of the elders told Leo that there was a woman who could tell him where the silver wolf was" I announced and watched the light in her eyes brighten. "So when are you going there? We are closer to our quest now." She asked me, her voice filled with anticipation. I could feel the pride in her voice when she spoke to me, it had a tone of a newfound respect, one that I had lost when I failed to realise that Lady Willow was already onto me. "Leo has gone to Lady Willow's mansion to sort out everything relating to her staff and business. Once he is back, we will go together. Even though I fear that he is different now, he still includes me in all that he does"

Maria's POV I didn't know why I ran away, I was too overwhelmed with everything going on and soon enough, I was beginning to feel that my chest was tightening. Nathan had wanted to follow me but I could hear the low growl of Elvira keeping everyone in place. A few minutes later, I heard the leaves behind me rustling a little. I turned to find Elijah behind me. Drawing in a deep breath, I pulled myself together before he even got to me. "I'm sorry about Nathan. He told me that he would behave himself before we got there" Elijah said before he sat down beside me on the edge of a rock beside the clinic. "It's fine. I just hated being the centre of the conversation. It really makes me too self-conscious and I wasn't prepared to be at the time" I answered curtly without bothering to look at him, even though I could feel his eyes on my body. "How do you feel today? Maria mentioned to me in confidence that you are having nightmares. Do you want to talk about it with me?" He asked me, hi

Maria's POV It has been two long days, two days of pure agony and heart-wrenching sadness. I could feel a part of me dying slowly like a grass that somehow can't seem to get a touch of the rain. It was heavy, a burden that I had never known its weight before it was cruelly dropped on my shoulders. For one moment in my life, I felt nothing. Just raw sadness and depression. Elvira moved in with me to help me cope as I refused to go to the palace or move in with Elvira. I had initially kicked against having her around but they would not hear of it and insisted that I had to take an option. Nathan has kept his distance and even the mere sight of him annoyed me. Elijah had made sure that he stayed away and Elvira did a good job in telling him that I was indisposed all of the eleven times that he had come to see me in the last two days. "He looks remorseful Maria. I think you should just hear him out, I don't think that he meant for anything bad to happen to you or the baby" Elvira said
