บททั้งหมดของ Rejected Luna : Alpha's Promise, King's Claim: บทที่ 131 - บทที่ 140

VENUSNadia swallows and starts fidgeting with the fabric of her apron. She looks worried, almost stressed. “He did not mention what the ceremony is for. He only said it would be a surprise. So I am preparing everything I can.”My mouth parts as the realization sinks in. A feast for the ceremony. It all makes sense now.He is really going to make a public announcement regarding our relationship. I thought he might change his mind later. Even if he sounded serious, claiming me publicly as his Luna is a huge step. The last time he tried, the pack reacted with violence. The memory still stings.A wave of panic builds in my chest.I do not even hear Nadia calling after me. I turn away quickly and take out my phone. My hands shake as I call Bronze. He must be in his car on the way to an event. He picks up after two rings.“Bronze,” I say, “you are really going through with the ceremony.”He sounds surprised. “Yeah. Didn’t I tell you before?”I sigh. “Bronze, you need to rethink this. I do

VENUSThe world seems to tilt for a moment.Alive? How is that possible? Everyone believed Luna Raya died of cancer. They had a funeral. Bronze told me the same. Rowan continues, “I believed it too and mourned my sister. Until circumstances forced me to learn otherwise.” His voice tightens, barely audible. “My sister was alive. But cursed.”My breath catches.“Because of that curse,” Rowan says, “she was a nightmare to Nova. And to Bronze. I wanted to protect them from her, so I kept the truth hidden.”I blink, stunned. My heartbeat stumbles.“Nova found out,” Rowan continues. “He thought I betrayed him by hiding it. She was his mate. He wanted to talk to me and to learn about her whereabouts so he can bring her back to his life.”Rowan’s eyes grow distant. “But on his way to meet me, he was attacked.”“Attacked?” I gasp in shock and horror. “Bronze told me he had an accident.”Rowan shakes his head once. “It wasn’t an accident. When I saw Nova’s body, I knew immediately that someone

VENUSRowan tells me to continue, and I force myself to breathe steadily. This time, I will keep my mind clear. I won’t allow any wandering thoughts and any distractions. I focus on him, while doing my best to connect to the forest and the rhythm of my movement. He rushes forward first. His foot cuts across the ground in a sharp arc, aiming for my left side. I twist to avoid it, barely dodging the impact. He follows instantly with a palm strike toward my shoulder. I raise my forearm to block it, the collision sending a small shock up my arm.I respond by shifting my weight back and lifting my arm to create a barrier with my power. A faint shimmer forms around my skin as he tries to push through. His hand meets the invisible shield and stops just before it touches me. The resistance wavers but holds.Rowan steps back, assessing me, then lunges again. I bend my knees and drop low, letting his next strike swipe through the air above my head. Before I can counter, he spins behind me. I pi

BRONZEGonalz’s brows lift a little.Rowan is already trying to force her to shift. Once she does, she will sense the mate bond and run back to him. My grip tightens on my glass. I will not let that happen. She defended him when I told her the truth. Maybe it is the bond. She is getting closer to her wolf and her wolf is pulling her toward Rowan. Distracting her. Stealing her attention from me. I cannot let him sink his claws into her. I need to claim her before it is too late.By the time we finish drinking, my head feels heavy and the floor shifts under my feet. I leave his room and walk down the hallway, but dizziness rolls through me again.“What is this,” I mutter, pressing my fingers to my temple. “I barely drank anything.” Also my hold on liquor is good so I shouldn’t be feeling this. My vision wavers, but I manage to reach my room. I push the door open and freeze.Mallory is sitting on my bed. My eyes widen as I see her. “What are you doing here?” I ask. “When did you retur

VENUSI sense someone behind me. The air shifts. I turn slowly and see Rowan standing in the doorway. His eyes take in the scene and his entire face hardens. His jaw clenches so tight I can see the muscles twitch. There is no surprise in his expression, only fury and something that looks dangerously close to disgust.A low groan pulls my attention back to the bed.Bronze stirs. He blinks, rubs his forehead, and pushes himself up slightly. “What is going on?” he murmurs in a groggy voice.I have no answer. My throat is tight. My voice disappears. He opens his eyes more fully and sees me standing there. His brows pull together. “Venus? What are you doing here?”I cannot speak. I cannot even lift my hand to wipe the tears threatening to spill. My gaze drifts to Mallory before I can stop it.Bronze follows my eyes. His face drains of color as he sees her naked beside him. “What…?” His voice cracks. He looks down at his own bare chest, then the duvet covering his waist and his expression s
