VIENNE'S POVAn hour and a few minutes had passed before I let out a big exhale. And I believe I was done giving and explaining all key points of the topic to Calloway, so I pushed the jotter fully to his side.“There. Take another close look and point out wherever you're not clear with, okay?” I mumbled out tiredly before grabbing my cellphone; 6:10pm said the time.Somehow, I don't feel the need to hurry off. I glanced at Damon who has that frown on again, that one when he's seriously trying to assess or get something stuck in his head. So far, he's doing good and that keeps me wondering how his grades have been going down these years. If he could keep up with this pace or higher, the grades could be telling a different tale at the end of the year.My eyes strayed away from his form to the whole room again. The apartment is humble enough; not too big or too small, but it was cozy enough which had the tiny feeling of envy run through me.It was way in contrast to mine which is extra

DAMON'S POV30 minutes have passed since listening to Reyes rant out as much as she wishes too.I'm never this patient and I shouldn't give a fuck about whatever might have happened. But a part of me had instinctively thought of calling immediately after seeing some gossip about her pop up on my screen. Why wouldn't I be on the school's group chat? I just never bothered to check until I started getting involved with Vienne. She seemed to silently attract chaos or even cause them sometimes. She holds a pride in her reputation and that Knox loser had just messed with it.Slight, incomprehensible restlessness had settled on me when I couldn't find her in the school premises and after school hours and bizarre thoughts had crossed my mind.Is she perhaps bawling her eyes out in the toilet?Did she jump down from the highest floor out of embarrassment?Turns out she had fled. I hope she recovers quickly from whatever injury the humiliation might have caused. Why? What's my business?Perhap

VIENNE'S POVI stepped out of the classroom glancing around. On my left, Ryan strolled down the corridor with Shawn and on my right, Damon's rigid figure walked towards the restroom. Subconsciously, I found myself running after him.“Calloway!”I reached for his hand upon getting close and he paused before turning fully to me.*What? You're going to follow me to the restroom too now?” His voice was gravelly and that confirmed that he was angry; the thought of him being annoyed with me made me uncomfortable.I exhaled “did I do something wrong? You seem annoye_”“Me being annoyed should not be your business, though. But if we're going to continue with all these, I feel some lanes should be maintained.”I frowned, a slight pang of pain gripping my heart. I licked my lips. His eyes narrowed down on me, not in a contemptuous way. The aura he oozed was controlled.Measured.Like he was reprimanding a kid.“Just say what I did.”“The deal is between us Calloway, except if necessary I don't

3rd person POVThe passing seconds seems to drive Alex Monroe into annoyance, but he only kept grunting and huffing so himself. His own dropped and he picked it; right on his way back to sitting up, he found those groups of students gathered together still blatantly staring at him. If they're going to gossip, they could at least be discreet about it. These ones seemed not to care.“What are you looking at?” He almost snapped at them.“How were you able to see us?” One of them replied right back in the same tone. But he couldn't be bothered about them. Two girls seated together some desks away would also stare at him, whisper to themselves while giggling at him. It was annoying, he wasn't a new student for crying out loud!Someone else seemed to have also seen the two girls were admiring him and she wasn't going to take it lightly.Amelia Dawn.Watching those students gather and openly gossip about Alex hadn't bothered him; they would get tired and leave. But those two girls? No way fo

3rd person's POV True to his words, at 6:35, Vienne found herself standing before the gate to her house. Damon had dropped her off without a word. And she watched as the bike sped off. They had set out this early in hopes of Vienne having enough time to properly get prepared for school. It's not even at a girl's place, but she found herself secretly entertaining the idea of having another sleepover. Maybe this time, it will be planned. By her.The gatekeeper opened the gate.“Miss Reyes?” His shock could not be hidden as he was obviously not expecting her there by that time. She stepped into the compound, mentally preparing herself for her mom's questions and her own answer. Well, she was at a friend's place to sleep over, it was unplanned ‘cause of the rain…**************Two days have passed since the sleepover, and here she was again. At Minerva's high cafeteria. She wasn't eating though.Vienne stared blankly at nothingness with folded arms while her legs which were crossed at
