Evelyn ignored most of it. Her attention remained fixed on the old man. "You said it found the first gate." He nodded. "What gate?" The old man's expression became complicated. Like somebody deciding how much truth another person could handle. Finally he answered. "The First Kingdom built seven gates." Nobody interrupted. "Each gate sealed part of the path connecting this world to the Sea Between Worlds." Lucien immediately spoke inside Evelyn's mind. "Seven." She noticed the reaction. "You've heard that number before?" A long silence followed.

He didn't believe this to be true, but it didn't cease the fear that bubbled in his chest. The path from Heaven to Hell was simple to cross despite its very gloomy and arid atmosphere. The split between the apposing realms was short, but noticeable. Dark skies of onyx stretched to every horizon. Some called it the Void, others believed it was impossible to cross despite its small size. Ashton new well from Matt's teachings that it was merely a safety net to keep out unwanted visitors. Only a few small plants sprouted out of the cracked dirt below his feet, small rocks crumbling at every step. Hell's gates were similar in structure to the ones he had always known, only gold instead of silver

Many huge houses came into his view, either they may be two-story houses, three-story houses, and houses with only one story but they all consumed a lot of lands. He cleared his throat as he recalled Ferdinand was talking to him, “I’m just thinking.” “Thinking about what?” He chuckled briefly as he reeled the steering wheel and the car moved to the right, “We all got problems, my boy. Tell me.” He said. “Soon…” Lucius can clearly see himself through the window. He wasn’t this problematic after all. He wasn’t this responsible. A massive gate in black, its irons curled everywhere which made it appear attractive and in the center was carved a name – ‘Collins’. They pulled to a stop and Ferdinan

These stories describe the river of blood, the scorpion, and the huge underground labyrinth ruled by the Mayan god of death and the demon "King of Sibalba" "Keep on searching since there are too many entrances, we have to pick a perfect place to open the gates to the underworld," says Henri. Another possible place to enter the underworld is the seven gates, as spiritual metaphors, others believe that they exist in the physical world. One of the stories described the whereabouts of the New Orleans Gate. It is said that to enter Guinea, seven doors must be opened in the correct order. Each subsequent gate is led by one of the dead, Lola "Gedeh", who must reconcile with appropriate offerings.

A narrow stone bridge, barely visible through the driving snow, curved farther up the mountain toward another hidden opening carved directly into the black rock. “The Heart Passage,” the guardian said. “Beyond it lies the second gate.” Ryan narrowed his eyes, trying to gauge the path ahead. “And after that? How many gates are there in total?” The guardian was silent for a moment, the wind whistling through its robes. “Three.” Caleb stared at the being, his jaw dropping slightly. “Of course there are three. Because one would have been too simple and two would have been lazy. Three gates of destiny. Fantastic.”

HE smiles in satisfaction as HE grins in pure delight, but with slight malice just for fun, whispering the words. “Well then.” With a quick snap and the echoing sound that engulfs the place, the pentagram of the gates draws unto the floor. With its distinct color and hue, a gate appears with a symbol that does not resemble any other else, but a special type of one. A unique one, and more likely a special door that does not just link from one person to another, from one god and with its distinction, but everything that falls under the truth of the seven worlds and books.

“The royal tomb has nine entrances and gates, eight of which are gates of the damned, and one of which is a gate of life. You can only enter Emperor Martyn’s royal tomb by correctly locating the gate of life. If you happen to open any gate of the damned, the tomb will be instantly destroyed.” Tyr couldn’t help but inhale sharply when he heard this.

Beside me, the elevator leading to the Fields of Punishment arrived. The doors slid open. I watched as two familiar figures were dragged into the elevator by the guards. It’s obvious you don’t want me and I don’t want you either and I hate the charade already!” I ramble out in frustration and when I look at Keenan, who seems to have suddenly gone mute, he’s staring at me intensely and his eyes hold a wounded look. We get interrupted by who I’m guessing as Rory and Taylor before I can say any more word. I finally get to meet the famous duel Taylor Snowfall and Rory John Gates.
