“The thing about Supernaturalism is that it deals with uncanny stuff like Portals.” My own brows fall, a frown shading my face. Sir Brak seems to realise now that I have heard neither of Portals nor how they concern an unconscious jump between the English and the Asian worlds. He smiles as he speaks, “Portals are like supernatural gateways. They travel a long distance within a short while.” I simply nod as we leave the building. We soon arrive at another that is quite far… and smaller too. Sir Brak is telling me how Master Xaulfur decided to live there since his bloodthirsty, possessed nature will not let him mingle with other humans.

CHAPTER FOUR Eric walked down the passage which had black tiles on its floor and up the walls; doors on his left and right as he walked passed; each door had a tag. He walked past a door labelled Saturn, another Jupiter, Mars, Venus, Mercury. The doors were labelled with planets of the solar system except Earth; they were not labelled for figurative purpose because each door actually leads to the planets mentioned; those doors were known as “Dimensional Gates”.

I feel myself shaking so badly that my teeth audibly tap together. I was already scared of César on a normal day. I was already tense around him, already careful with every breath, every look, every word. But this voice... this voice is different. It is darker. Deeper. It is serious with something I don't want to understand. Something ancient and cruel. My tears drip hot and fast between my fingers as I lower my hands, and that's when I see them. The gates. Huge. Tall. Black iron twisted into sharp spikes. They loom in front of us like the entrance to the underworld, rising out of the ground like claws waiting to snap shut. My stomach twists violently, acid rising in my throat.

~Nia~ She walked along Heaven, her thoughts disturbing her. She couldn't shake this guilt she felt. But she couldn't tell anyone, not yet. It was still too soon. It was for Nyxie's own good that she didn't find out yet, she wasn't ready to know. Her fire red hair blew in the ocean breeze as she walked along Heaven's beach. It was a common misconception mortals had of Heaven. They all thought that Heaven was just some floating city of souls above the clouds. But that wasn't true. In reality, all the realms were connected. Heaven, Earth, Hell, Purgatory, Ethereal, Olympia and the Nether-Realm. They were all connected by a silver string of cosmic matter. That was where the gates of the realms c

"You came here hoping to destroy us. You were once a gatekeeper like us Demonya, you the extent of our powers, your followers will be struck down easily. Seems to me like your outmatched." Demonya smiled wickedly. "Appearances can be deceiving my old friend, you see across the mortal realm portals are opening and my wraiths will seize each world in my name. The six of you have no chance of winning. Your precious Daughter of Vienna is locked away and her army is leaderless. Looks to me like you've underestimated me again."

“Do you think we can really use this?” “Definitely, yes. I heard that the Book of Gates contains twelve hours, a series of gates that the soul should have safe passage. Each gate is said to be associated with a goddess with a specific title. The book is believed to help those who have departed to make their journey safe to the underworld.” “And we can use it as a last resort to defeat Priestess Nehes.” Everyone looked at Zadi when she finished saying it. “But how is that possible?” Eric asked in confusion. “If it’s for the dead, then it’s not applicable to the living people, is it?”

The Hell Path was extremely magnificent, but it could also be divided into four categories, including the Eight Hells, the Hell of Wanderers, the Coldest Hell, and the Lonely Hell. The Eight Hells were the foundation of the Hell Path. They were full of fire everywhere, so they were called the Eight Hot Hells. At the bottom of the Hell Path was the terrifying Hell of Heart Annihilation, which was also called the Seamless Hell. Each of the Eight Hot Hells had four gates, and each gate had four Small Hells. There were a total of 128 Hells. All living creatures who came out of the Eight Hot Hells would have to travel through this place, which was called the Hell of Wanderers.

Lorenzo picked up another photograph. His father stood beside Gabriel. Both men were younger. Underneath the photograph was a handwritten message. IF THEY FIND THE GIRLS, FIND GABRIEL. Aria stared. "Why?" Seraphina answered. "Because he knows where the first gate is." "The first gate?" "Dawn has seven gates." Aria frowned. "Seven?" "Each one leads to a different part of the system." "And how many have been opened?" Seraphina looked at her. "Three."

I questioned looking at my father. "Most of them were filled with cement. There was a section that we kept accessible in case a time ever came that we found ourselves in a war again," he explained shaking his head. "Where's the tunnel?" Arrow snarled. His eyes were pitch black. "Tell me now!" he roared. "The garden on the west side of town. The statue of your great great grandfather is the door. Pull his left arm down and turn his right arm to the opposite side and the statue will move allowing entrance into the tunnels." He looked angry and I guessed it was at himself.
