Cassian muttered, “Okay, that’s somehow worse.” Ronan’s voice was hoarse. “Then who—?” The figure’s gaze fixed on Lyra—sharp, assessing, ancient. “I am the First.” Silence detonated across the ridge. Not a gasp. Not a whisper. A stunned, soul-deep silence. Malachai staggered a step back. “The First Blood… the origin of the Oath…” Cassian’s jaw dropped. “Wait. I thought that was a myth. Like ‘don’t eat raw deer, you’ll get worms’ kind of myth.”

Something about this moment didn't resonate with the dark premonition that had haunted my subconscious. My gaze snapped back to Raphael, my attention refocused. With newfound determination, I grasped the staff, aware of its limitless potential. It was an instrument of my will, capable of unleashing any power I desired. With a swift motion, I pointed the staff at the earth, and the ground began to shudder. The air grew heavy with the stench of decay as I summoned an unholy legion: an army of the damned, risen from their eternal slumber to do my bidding.

I woke up confused. Where the heck in crusty tomato am I? My neck ached and I let out a moan of pain, as I stretched my arms behind my back and rubbed my neck to soothe the slight strain and ache. Groggily looking around, I blinked to clear my hazy disoriented vision to see I had slept on the floor, the book I was reading last night still in my hand, and no sign of Elijah. I glanced at the alarm clock and my eyes widen when I saw it was 11 in the morning. Omg!

I began this book when I was 16 and many of you might know and I would like to keep it that way so the only editing I'll do is just correcting the spelling errors. I also have some books on W******l please can you check them out and I'm currently on the Third Volume of So Near Yet So Far with the subtitle of( A Night With The Substitute) an unbreakable student/teacher relationship. But you can start with the first volume if you want to but all the volumes are sts5nd alones meaning you can start with any volume.

I had no idea which one was the Alpha and as I introduced myself, a large, well built man introduces himself as Alpha Zach and steps forwards but not towards me, towards Charlie, he bows his head and drops to one knee “Good morning my Queen” I turn to face Charlie, in complete and utter shock and she looked just as shocked as I did.

Beneath it was various other books, none that I recognized except a translation of the Dead Sea Scrolls. “I know it can be intimidating and unnerving to think the answers to what you’ve seen these past few days...and to more than you know are mostly contained in this. But trust me. When I finish educating you, it will all make sense.” And there was his hand on my arm again. I knew now this wasn’t his way of flirting, but his way of consoling. I looked at the mound of books. He cracked open the bible to Genesis, chapter 6.

“Am I the first?” She blinked, not entirely sure what he was asking. “What do you mean?” “Am I the first male to kiss you?” “Oh.” She blinked in surprise. It was a strange question, considering that he had to know she’d been cursed when she was just a hatchling. “Yes, you’re the first.” Another brooding glance. “Are you sorry?” “Why would I be sorry?” His hands balled into fists, as if he was struggling to contain some fierce emotion.

It was the perfect image that represented the kind of power he had. “You guys did well,” he gazed at the three of them, gratitude in his steel eyes. “Stage one of the plan is complete. You successfully tracked the Irons heir and examined his physiology for any anomalies. We aren’t dealing with a superhuman this time. Stage two, however, is a longer process. Beau?” Beau straightened, anticipation bubbling below the surface. “Yes, Alpha?” “Are you sure you can get this done on your own? I know Sheffield doesn’t hold up too fondly in your thoughts.”
