The first chapter of the prophecy was closed with a lie. The next chapter would be written in truths made of steel and shadow, and it would begin with a single, silent vow: when she saw Kael Vexis again, he would not recognize the ghost he thought he’d buried. He would see only the queen, and the ruin, standing before him, waiting for him to choose which one he would awaken.

Until finally, he stood in the center of the chapel ruins, panting, bleeding, surrounded by the bodies of beasts. And then silence. But not relief, no, something else was coming. Something worse, the earth cracked. The altar split in two, and from beneath it… a voice. “John Crowe.” It wasn’t the monsters, it wasn’t the priestess. It wasn’t even the curse, it was the original Alpha. The First, and he was rising. John staggered back as the altar cracked open, the stone groaning as if it were alive. Heat surged up from the abyss beneath it, a deep, pulsing warmth that smelled of ash and ancient blood. Sarah ran to his side, grabbing his arm before he could fall completely.

Draynon nodded and opened the book. He leafed through the book until he found the chapter that he was looking for. “Here we go. Now this was roughly 120 years ago, or four generations. It’s not so much a history book, but written similar to a novel to make the facts easier for the reader to remember, rather than just bombarding them with endless seeming names and numbers.” He coughed once to clear his throat and began reading from the book.

FINAL DAY OF THE AWAKENING Chaos’s P.O.V I was awoken by the beating of drums and the echoes of a chant you rarely heard even back in our home realm. A chant that was as old as time itself. I turned to find Xavier leaning against the headboard with his eyes squeezed shut.

"Where and when do I start?" "You start now. Head to the Seers Guild headquarters. They will inform you of the next steps." "Yes Father." I say as I bow before leaving the room. "Finally he is trusting me." I think as I move quickly to do his bidding. **************************************************************************************************** As I enter the headquarters of the Seers Guild I am blown aback by the sheer lack of people within its halls. As one of the main guilds it stands to reason that it should be bustling with people. "Prince Xander! You're here!" A voice rings out through the not so empty hall.
