Ugh! End of chapter 64

Storm groaned tiredly; under the full weight of the knowledge she had been absorbing for the past four hours. Kaden had been true to his word, and with the help of Jiraq, had bundled more than thirty books which smelt of oldness into her room this morning, just before she dressed for school.

It looked as though the place had been ransacked, due to the books being scattered in every direction. I knocked around some of the books with the tip of my sneaker, surprised that not all were destroyed beyond recognition. I picked up one of the many plain bound books and looked at the cover. The top and bottom corner was burned off of the book, and the cover hung by a few threads, but there was still some sense to the handwritten words inside. The cover of the book read, "1836" I flipped the book open to a random pace, surprised to find the inexperienced writing of a child.

Its title is The Portion. "This is a beginner's book. This beautiful organization is filled with knowledge, peace, and power but has rules. Many of us shared the same heart when we first entered those doors. And most of us have been vindicated, but we were steadfast and loyal to the cause." It would be best if you were done reading it within a week. So after you've read it, return to a meeting, and then we'll go from there." I agree, thank her, and then head home.

Thirty-six hours. I'd slept thirty-six hours. While pack continued. While reality flickered. While everything happened.

-------------------- Upstairs, Emily sat on the bare floor, allowing the warm water spraying from the shower hit her body, still scared and in disbelief of what has happened over the past 24 hours. She stood up with almost the last strength she had left, walked to the room, threw a robe and that was when she decided, whatever this is? she’s not giving up, she won’t be cajunned to stay here. She opened the door, this time it wasn’t locked. Maybe Lothaire had thought she wouldn’t try to escape, well he must be an actual joke. “ I’ll keep trying to escape for 365 days” He doesn’t know me yet. He’s in for a long ride

I know right? By now you know me and cooking... Neeeh... So you can just imagine me baking. Please don't laugh at me because I'm actually doing a pretty good job at baking some muffins. They burnt a little... Just a little... But they are perfect. They must be perfect since I woke up a bit early after sleeping for just three and a half hours.
