Summer looked down at the pen in front of her. Her fingers trembled slightly as she picked it up.
She looked at the signature line, where her future hung in the balance.
"Twelve weeks," she whispered, looking up to meet his gaze. "No real feelings. No interference in my personal life. We do the work, we get paid, and we walk away."
