It hurts. "It's done now. You can open your eyes, ma'am." She announced and I fluttered my eyes opened immediately. I couldn't see clearly as tears had already clouded my vision. I wiped it away with my other palm. Removing the tissue in my mouth, I sighed in relief. It doesn't hurt that bad anymore. Christabel took care of it and she plastered it.

"As for the second… We will secretly hand over the chief of the Martial Alliance to them." "Fuck!" Edon smacked himself on the lap. "They're out of line!" Chet remained impassive. "That's true, but Hundred Bane Sect made it very clear that the Soulbleeder is one of their finest poisons, and a novelty no one will be able to neutralize. It also spreads through pure vigor, infecting and killing anyone who tries to use pure vigor to remove the molecules."

he screamed, stepping back. I grabbed the bleach bottle and hit him on the side his head as hard as I could, causing him to step backward. I took advantage of his momentary unbalance as he rubbed his eyes, knowing that I only had a second. I unscrewed the cap from the bleach bottle and threw the contents at him, causing him to scream out in pain as bleach covered his face and hair. I grabbed the broom and, finding sudden strength, rammed my foot into the wooden handle, breaking it in half.

Moving quickly across the room she knelt down by the cabinet. The glass was held closed by a simple latch. When she swung the doors wide, they creaked as she flipped them open. She kept thinking about what Ashton had said. It's red. The antidote's color is not bright or pale but rather a deep red similar to wine. Fea swiftly skimmed the labels. Recovery in Wolfsbane. Silver Root Cleaner. Nightshade Draft. Not one of them fit. She narrowed her eyes and watched the liquids swirl as her fingers moved from vial to vial, gently turning each one in the candlelight.

He stated and before I knew it, he was in front of me in a flash like a shadow but as he did so, his appearance changed from the guard to a totally different person. Scared out of my wit, I fell backward on my as* realizing one more thing, HE WAS NOT A WEREWOLF. A shadow stretched over him, blotting out the weak morning sun. The lead blood-born entity stood at the edge of the ridge. Up close, it was colossal, its pale, rubbery flesh glistening with the dark brine of the Atlantic trenches. It tilted its featureless head, the massive, unhinged jaw twitching as its rows of translucent, needle-like fangs dripped black, corrosive saliva onto the heather.

Capitol route. "Amber." She does not look up. "What." "This." I hold one ampoule carefully between two fingers. Clear liquid, cloudy at the bottom. "This is what they used." Tjeck crouches beside me. "You know that?" "I remember pieces." My throat tightens. "Clinic room. Bleach. Clay. Numbered doses." The younger prisoner spits blood and laughs once, stupidly. "Told him it wouldn't hold forever."

I finally chose the option that would keep me safe and preserve what little dignity I had left. I sighed loudly, provocatively, and continued my dogged march toward the exit. “Hold on,” Kalvin called again. Damn. It was useless to acknowledge him. I left his room without turning to see his disgusting, flushed face. ***** I woke up to three text messages. One from Senior Jack, another from Kalvin, and the latest, from this morning, was from Brucha. Game of Thrones! Senior Jack: “Hey Lily, I was so preoccupied yesterday I forgot to say goodbye before leaving the company. I'm sorry about that. Forgive me, dear.”

"You drank it, my blood, pure vampire blood. Now you are part of the Haltz Clan and my right hand." Al immediately wiped his mouth roughly, "Why are you being so arbitrary!?" he said annoyed. "Oh yeah...? That's just how I am," he replied coldly. #to be continued in Chapter 3.1 - Ignored
