A Book I Read Novels & Stories

My birth wasn't mentioned, the same as my death. When I was on the verge of giving up on reading, I took a last glance at the book and sighed. I closed the book, stood up, and got ready to sleep. Then, the book opened itself. It was a moment of 'didn't I close this book?' I paced around at short distances, took note of the page and closed it again. I glared at the book till I was on my bed and the book never opened - maybe it is my illusion.

Ivanna Striding between the rows of shelves, I scan through all the books. It's been a long time since I got new ones. Honestly, I don't find the time for reading anymore. "What about this one?" I decided to sit down and read it. As I read, I was transported to another world. The book was a travelogue of a young woman's adventures in the A****n rainforest. She described the sights, sounds, and smells of the jungle with such vivid detail that I felt like I was right there with her. I was so engrossed in the story that I didn't even realize how much time had passed.

She uttered before shoving the other copy into her bag. “Lights that don’t flicker.” I read out the title of the book, groaning inside of me, considering that I’ve never been a fan of novels. I only read business contracts, manifestos, and newspapers when I’m bored, but most times it’s business contracts and documents belonging to a property I was buying. “This is a good read, trust me on this. You wouldn’t regret making this video.” “I hope so,” I replied and made the video, encouraging everyone to read her book.

𝐏𝐎𝐕 𝐇𝐄𝐋𝐄𝐍𝐀 I was reading a book when I realized I hadn’t understood a single line. The book remained open on my lap. My eyes moved across the words, line after line, but nothing made sense. It was as if I was only passing over them… without truly absorbing anything. I let out a soft sigh. I turned the page anyway. Automatic. The room was silent.

Ohh shit! The damage he can do to himself is more than the damage I can do to him. I closed the cameras, then I went to his room. He was in the shower, I sat on his bed waiting for him. I looked at the book which he is reading: where the things come back by Corey Whaley ( I suggest you read it, dear readers ) I smiled at the memory when my father forced me to read it and it was amazing. I put the book on his nightstand when I saw another book Me and Earl and the Dying Girl by Jess Andrews.

I breathed deeply, feeling a sense of calm wash over me. I scanned the shelves, my eyes running over the countless books that seemed to stretch up to the ceiling. I knew I'd spend hours in here, getting lost in the stories and adventures that lay within the pages. I finally picked a book, my fingers trailing over the cover as I read the title.

Amazing, what is a better way to distract yourself than reading some dark romance books filled with smut. I got in the library and instantly felt a bit calm. Grabbing my favourite four books I got seated in a cosy comfortable corner, and started reading. An hour later I closed the fourth book in my hands as I groaned frustratingly. For god sake what's wrong with me? I couldn't even read a single book completely. I tried to read them for fifteen minutes and then put them aside while picking up another book. All of these books are my fucking comfort favourite books that I have re-read for so many times. The books whose MMC are my, to heart, book boyfriends.

“Since you’re back, are you going to pick the next book?” I blinked. “Me?” “Of course,” she said, smiling. “You’ve been gone. You deserve the honor.” Everyone nodded expectantly. I looked down at the stack of books on the table, my fingers brushing across their covers. My hand paused on a novel about love, identity and societal expectations. This book will give them a glimpse of what I passed through during my absence. I smiled softly. “How about this one?” Brent groaned. “Oh no, not another depressing tragedy. Can’t we read something with a hopeful romance?”

I was here for legends, actually stories that had something to do with me. I grabbed another book off the shelf, “Flare”. Already read this one. I grabbed a few more books and I tagged all of them the same. "Ugh” I groaned in frustration as I placed the last book down, how was it possible that I've read almost all the books here.
