A Book I Read Novels & Stories

There was something about her that I felt deeply connected with, a major reason I always turn back to this book when my life tides seem to get violent. Because my book issuing date was near and I had already read the book, I decided to go to the library and get a new one. My reading habit dates back when I was little. Though, my fondness with inked pages is perpetual, I have become more talkative. In fact, the pile of my words can be categorised as rambling.

I don't know why, but I'm really engrossed in reading mystery books especially when I could always figure out who the suspect is before the detective could even tell who it was in the end. I traced my fingers at the leaves of the books that are stored in the bookshelves as I read their titles until I came across a book which made me curious of it's title. It was called Isoria with a fantasy like book cover with golden specks laid across it. I then knew that it's a book I will never regret reading. I was tempted to buy at least two or more books. I saw a lot of books that I want to read, but I don't want to abuse my mom's kindness. I wasn't supposed to be allowed to buy any book right now.

Now that I am revisiting my first book, I can see why nobody wanted to read this. I'm sitting in my office right now and a lot has changed. I have learned so much and I know that I can do better. This embarrassment of a book is defiling the screen of my laptop. I even had the nerve to put the book up on W*****d. I don't think that it can get any worse than that.

I counted ten stars scattered within the reach of my eyes until I got bored and decided to go back to reading the new book I just bought from the bookstore. “Gosh! I still have a lot to read,” I told myself as I looked around my bookshelf. I bought a lot of books and I felt sorry for them since I couldn’t read them all. Well, buying books is actually different from reading it. That’s my motto in life.

I walk towards my mini-library I have in my room and I bring out a book, it's been a while since I got lost in one of these fantasies. I take one out, I use my hand to trace the Braille, this was my favourite book. The Princess Diaries, I remember always reading this, I made my father read it to me when I was little as well, I remember Pretty Little Liars, I overheard someone talking about it, and when I joined in their convo, they were talking about the movie, I only read the book, funny how most people don't know that most of these movies and series were based on books, and yes these books are re written in Braille so blind people like myself can also read it.

I felt empty and nothing was going to save me. Right now I'm currently on my day off, sitting in the library reading a book about shifters. I thought I knew a lot from my library back home. The human library that I visited frequently had a whole wall of books about shifters. But they were all written by humans. Reading these books has made me realize I knew nothing. Three whole double sided bookshelves filled with these books. I hadn't even finished a whole row yet.

I managed to get inside swiftly. I let my eyes wander leisurely, scanning the rows of shelves for one that caught my interest. A soft smile graced my lips when I realized the perfect section was standing right before me, waiting like an old friend I hadn’t yet met. With a gentle touch, my fingers glided across the spines of the books, their textured covers whispering promises of stories untold. My gaze danced over the titles, seeking something that resonated, something familiar until one caught my attention. “All About Dreams,” I murmured softly, the words rolling off my tongue as I carefully pulled the book from its place.

But I know that book is just a kindergarten book where parents read their child before bed. My parents never did that. I never experienced it from anyone. I can read anyway. Why bother asking someone to read for me? I got irritated and just closed the windows and curtains. I went to the mansion's library, and I was always got surprised by its massiveness. I go here every day, but I can help to stare in awe. I love reading books about doctors and surgeons. Even books about murders and mayhems. Crimes and killers, psychological thrillers as well.

You deserve it. You know, I hated the idea of reading books. It felt boring and static. Well guess who is a book worm now. I still am on the ones you brought 6 months ago. I know you would have mouthed the words, slow reader. I agree I am slow but I feel I have to be, because I am a new reader. You know, I can liken reading a book to having a wizard’s broom. While reading, I have travelled to different places and felt a rush of different emotions. Books are magical. I now see what makes you stick your nose in them all the time.
