Conquering the City with a System

Conquering the City with a System

Rudi folded his arms on the table. "They took over our gang and turned it into a faction." Daffa stroked his chin while thinking about something. "Wasn't Star just an old motorcycle community?" Daffa could only recall what was in his mind at the moment. "May I answer?" Yoga interrupted the conversation. "I've heard a story that the Star gang once fought against the Bulldog gang." "The Bulldog gang?" Daffa furrowed his brow. "Do you mean the Bulldog gang that almost controlled the entire city?" Rudi asked. It turned out he knew about it.

Rising from the Ashes

Rising from the Ashes

Alonzo replied coldly, "It's useless. The Cathedral is blocking the center. For the werewolves and vampires to come support us, they'd have to get past the Cathedral's army. Do you really think that's possible?" Suddenly, a tremor erupted on the horizon. Alonzo's heart tightened as he gripped his heavy sword. He knew the attack was about to begin. Between the two armies, Andrew stood atop a massive war vehicle. Throne City truly lived up to its reputation as the greatest city in the Wastelands. Its walls towered high, reaching 300 feet. Moreover, they were virtually impregnable, capable of withstanding heavy artillery bombardment. The black granite looked like the muscles of giants, silently

Reynir Kjartansson
Very good story and the ending was relatively good since each part of the story give a obvious closure. The audio book is also available the whole story. Other authors should follow this example. There is nothing worse than a forced ending or a cut off story, so this story gets all stars, great job!

THE MAD ALPHA

THE MAD ALPHA

I can feel his mark pulse, faintly, irregular, warning. Hours pass, and the city shifts outside the walls. The hum of life, distant steps, the soft rattle of carriages, murmurs of humans and creatures alike. Emano has become a strange refuge, unnoticed but noticed at the same time. Humans, witches, creatures, rogues, displaced, broken, even small creatures of the old ways, they all have found a place here, a city within a city, breathing quietly, carefully.

The Alpha Biker's Healer

The Alpha Biker's Healer

A jagged fracture raced directly through the center of the square. Stone exploded upward. Dust filled the air. Everyone scrambled backward. The crack widened. Five feet. Ten feet. Twenty. And beneath it— My breath stopped. There was no ground. No earth. No foundation. Only darkness. An endless void stretching downward beyond sight. The city hadn't been built on a mountain. It had been built over something. Something vast. Something imprisoned. The realization hit me like a hammer. The city itself was the prison. Every tower. Every street.

Behind Walls

Behind Walls

The presence grew larger and larger until. "I can't take it anymore!" Traga said scaredly. He quickly ran ahead of the group leaving the rest of them. Everyone started panicking as Traga went further and further. Everyone else followed and that was when the frightening presence that was trailing behind them came closer and closer. "Everybody runs quickly!" Cheng, the leader of the group, said loudly. They can already see it much clearer, the fortified wall of the city that surrounds the entire mountain city of Aslem. On top of the 80 meter tall wall were soldiers that patrol the wall and luckily right in front of them was the west gate of the city.

THE CURSE OF THE FIFTH MATE

THE CURSE OF THE FIFTH MATE

The wounds of the past were still fresh, but they were healing, slowly, piece by piece, as the land itself seemed to breathe with new life. Veyra watched as the first foundations were laid—simple, sturdy homes built from the remnants of the Citadel's stone, yet with a warmth in their design, a reflection of the new world being forged. There were no high walls here, no fortresses to protect the few at the cost of the many. Instead, the homes were scattered in a wide circle, connected by paths of stone, allowing anyone to walk freely through the city. The walls that once divided them had been reduced to dust, and in their place, a network of open spaces was emerging—spaces meant for the people

THE ROYALTY OF WOLFES

THE ROYALTY OF WOLFES

I can feel my chains being tugged and I swallow a curse. I see little of Pontis Maari, but here's what I notice; The walls that surround the city are extremely high, but they don't actually touch the sky. However, it is impossible to look up there without your eyes starting to burn from the sunlight. The walls protect a huge city that seems to multiply beyond the horizon with houses and towers, and tall buildings made of stones of different colors. And there in the center is where the Tarus fortress is located. In the old books this place was not like this.

Wanderers Of the Night

Wanderers Of the Night

Can't you see, can't you feel that they're dead? The teenager abruptly turned around, stared at the city, his hands went up, he directed his open palms towards the houses and froze. "It's, it's just the outskirts," he muttered. “There are people out there… living people. “Yes,” Vic agreed, watching the narrow, straight beams stretch from the palms of the guy - through the houses, through the walls. - And this is also one of the reasons why you should not enter this city. The city is not guarded, but this does not mean that it is defenseless. Perhaps its inhabitants decided that together it would be easier for them to defend themselves and created a protective dome in the center of the city.

Neon Desert

Neon Desert

The city was surrounded by large concrete barriers simply known as the Wall both to its citizenry and defenders. It measured far taller than the mundane corporate buildings inside the city borders but its height were equal to the tallest skyscraper there is. It was the last line of defense for the inhabitants of V'rounsthan and the Dusk Riders, unaided, would never be able to penetrate it...yet.

Where Ashes and Oaths Collide

Where Ashes and Oaths Collide

“Lua, Sol– go up onto the roof. Give us a heads up if there are any guards along our path. Just because the streets are empty now, does not mean they will stay that way.” … Back in the watch tower, Amelia stood near the railing and looked at the city of Cidade dos escravos through a spyglass. Heavy grey clouds hang low overhead and patches of mist drift across the rocky landscape. The city itself is enormous and densely packed, enclosed with immense stone defensive walls that follow the contours of the rocky peninsula on which it stands. The walls are reinforced with countless towers, battlements and gatehouses, making the city look impregnable. The sight alone is enough to make he feel scar
