Shadow's Essence

Shadow's Essence

Book 2: Crown of Shadows Chapter 4: Court Arrival The Exile Court rose from crystalline cliffs like a dream carved from living light. Spires twisted skyward in impossible helixes, their surfaces catching morning sun and throwing it back in patterns that made the eyes water. After three weeks of travel, after convoy conversations and careful diplomatic positioning, the sight struck her with awe that reminded her of the first time she'd seen Shadoweave's defenses—but magnified beyond anything alliance coordination had prepared her for.

Alpha Asher's Forbidden Mate

Alpha Asher's Forbidden Mate

But his gaze keeps sliding toward me—calculating, waiting. Waiting for me to burn. Councilor Therin lifts the ancient brazier, its black metal etched with runes older than any pack. “Aria of Shadowfang,” he intones, “the Blood Flames shall reveal your truth. Witch or wolf. Innocent or traitor. Light… or shadow.” The runes ignite. And flames explode upward. The fire roars with a sound like cracking bones and storm winds. It’s not natural fire—every color bleeds in the flickering tongues: crimson, ink-black, violet, molten gold. The air thickens, charged, reacting to me before I even step inside.

Love Amongst The Shadows

Love Amongst The Shadows

' Fane suggested. I felt my body becoming hot quickly until it burst entirely in flames. The elders around me let me go instantly as their hands burnt. They backed away, a look of surprise momentarily flashing before their faces. It didn't take them long to compose themselves. They pulled on the shadows that seemed infinite in this cavern. They tried to restrain me, but anytime a shadow tried to coil around me, it would burn away. I honestly didn't have to do anything. I stood there and let my Phoenix flames handle the shadows. The elders didn't move to try to attack me any other way. Their attacks didn't seem to want to hurt me, but only restrain me. I didn't let it happen though.

I absolutely love a snarky, fierce, independent, fire cracker of a lead lady. Zea doesn’t let the horrible things life has dumped on her keep her from being a big hearted loving person. That love tends to be fierce, sarcastic and confrontational LOL and she refuses to let others decide her fate!

Shadows & Secrets

Shadows & Secrets

“Centuries ago, twin alphas Fenrir and Faber Nightshade were born to lead Shadowfang. They fell for the same she-wolf, fated to Faber. Heartbroken, Fenrir founded Nightshade, carving a territory steeped in the land’s spirits. Their rituals, passed down through generations, border on magic, drawing power from the earth itself. That, paired with the three years of nearly complete silence... it feels deliberate and worrisom.” Aurora’s heart raced, her thoughts flickering to Vincent’s warnings about Nightshade’s unrest. The pack’s isolation, paired with this unnatural energy, pointed to something sinister. “This feels bigger than territorial disputes,” she mindlinked. “Like it could threaten all

But he retorts sharply, "But you have problems destroying it with her in it. And destroying her. She's part of the Shadow Fang." I take in a deep breath. He has a point. I understand that. But I don't want to listen anymore. "Listen, Luca," he says, his voice steady, face in the shadows. "You either burn or rise to the top. I choose to rise." He stops, looking straight at me. "Those who want to get lost, they get left behind. You have to choose - yes or rise. There's no in-between. You can't have both," he says, nodding to Elena and then smiling at me.

THE SHADOW WITHIN HER (The shadow Queen Of Aetheria)

THE SHADOW WITHIN HER (The shadow Queen Of Aetheria)

Restricted Archives. The sign should have been enough to stop me.It wasn’t.I descended. The temperature dropped with every step, until the air itself felt sealed away from the rest of the world. At the bottom, a single table sat beneath a flickering torch, covered in books that looked older than anything I had ever seen. One title stood out. The Fall of the Shadow Queens. My breath slowed as I opened it.The pages were fragile, the ink faded but still legible.Illustrations showed figures surrounded by living darkness, not casting shadows but commanding them as extensions of themselves.

CLAIMED BY THE DEMON KING: DARK ROMANCE

CLAIMED BY THE DEMON KING: DARK ROMANCE

Rather because of the sight before me. Black spires towered, running into the sky as though it was eager to touch the moon. Silver flames flickered in the brazier, giving the environment a warm glow. They were banners of crimson and onyx, flapping in the wind. The whole place felt like a fairy-tale, a dangerous one. This was the Shadow Court, the palace of the King of Lycans and werewolves alike. Actually, seeing the Dravon's palace made reality dawn on me. Everything was actually real. I am part of this Pack now, no longer the Luna of Winterwood Pack, no longer Lucien’s wife.

This was a good book. Some of the characters names would get mixed up and some of the chapters would be added twice, but still a good read. I hope that there is another book coming out with the same characters picking up where it left off.

The alpha king's slave mate

The alpha king's slave mate

And then it hit. A flaming arrow, reeking of foul smoke and coated in something darker than fire, hissed through the broken window and slammed into the spot where I’d just been lying. The stones cracked under the impact, the flames burning black at the edges. My heart thundered as I scrambled backward, eyes wide, breath frantically. That wasn’t ordinary fire. That was shadow fire. If I hadn’t moved… The goddess’s warning echoed in my ears, even as I stared at the corrupted flames.

Luna by Contract, Mother in Secret

Luna by Contract, Mother in Secret

Shadows of Destiny The courtyard of Darkfang Keep was a graveyard of silence, the air thick with the metallic tang of blood and the faint hum of the relic still clutched in Elara’s hands. The loyalists’ bodies lay scattered across the stones, their rebellion snuffed out in the shadow of the blood moon. Its crimson light throbbed overhead, a heartbeat in the sky that quickened Aria’s own pulse. She held Rollan close, his tiny frame pressed against her, his soft whimpers cutting through the stillness. Then it came—a howl, low and mournful, rising from the earth itself. The ground trembled beneath their feet, and the torches lining the walls sputtered, casting frantic shadows that danced like s
