Fine. Let’s give her a fairytale ending—complete with betrayal, heartbreak, and a crown of thorns.

She tucked him in and lay in bed next to him. “Once upon a time, there was a princess who had magical powers. She loved to help people. But one day, her little sister got lost in the forest, so she left the castle to look for her. When she entered the forest, she met a fairy who was trapped under a rock. The princess used her magic to lift the rock and set the fairy free. To thank her, the fairy gave her a magical crystal from the fairy land. It had—” Magnolia looked over at Geoffrey and found him sound asleep already. She chuckled and kissed his forehead. “Sweet dreams, my darling.” She yawned and walked to her room.

I pulled my wrist against myself, rubbing some of the sore spots that it had left in its wake. “Alright, what kind of magic do you have?” He asked, bluntly. He was trying to look bored, but I could see the curiosity hidden behind his multi-colored eyes. I took a deep breath, figuring it was going to come out eventually. “Most faerie only have element, and it’s not very strong if they’re not of royal blood” I said, and I could start to feel the little sparks of magic tugging at me with the iron being gone. My wrist starting to heal as the skin knit itself slowly back together. It was weak from being gone for so long, but it was still there, whispering softly across my skin like an old friend

he nodded “There is a story behind it though…” “Really” he asked, with his brows furrowed “Yes…the swan princess” “Swan princess? That’s funny” “Yea…..she got cursed by a wicked witch and perhaps changes to a swan by sunset and changes back to her normal human form by sunrise…” “Oh…that’s bad” Aiden chuckled. She jabs him in the shoulder laughing along “That isn’t a real story….I can’t believe someone will ever change to a swan, it’s mystic” Aiden cooed

And so did he. But the story didn’t end there. It time-jumped. The child, now a King, found his witch mate, made her his Queen, and they had six children. A flicker of something like hope sparked in my chest, a ridiculous, treacherous thing. A happy ending. A second chance. And then, the story just… ended. There were still over half the pages left, and they were all blank. No ending.

Andera's pov. " The curse was broken and the beast transformed into a handsome prince. The prince and beauty got married in a grand ceremony, people gathered from far and wide to join their celebration, and they lived happily ever after the end." I closed the bedtime storybook with a soft thud, watching a small smile spread on Tiffany's lips. Her eyelids dropped, and she snuggled closer to me, her small body relaxing into mine. " This is my favorite bedtime story, mommy. " She mumbled.

Most of the books were old, some wrapped in cracked leather, others with faded ink. I picked one at random, a tale I vaguely remembered from childhood: a brave prince who slays a monster to rescue a princess locked in a tower. I expected the familiar ending. But this version was different. The prince failed, and the monster won. The princess was dragged into darkness, her screams carved into the final page like a curse. A chill skated down my spine. Disturbed, I reached for another. Hansel and Gretel, except in this one, the witch didn’t perish in the oven.

"The Prince, who had searched far and wide, heard of the maiden who slept in the glass coffin," Mika added, since she's the narrator she keeps on explaining stuff to the audience while we act it out. After the crying moments, the dwarfs heard a singing voice which made all of them turned to Kyril's direction who just arrived on the scene. I stayed still with my eyes closed since I'm already dead in this story. But why do Fairy Tales always use a kiss to solve their problem? That's now how it works in real life though.
