Her perfect hair was pulled into its usual glossy ponytail, her eyes blazing.
She leaned in close, her perfume chokingly sweet.
“You think you’re clever, don’t you?” she hissed. “Aaron dies out of nowhere, and magically, every single folder he kept of your dirty little secrets disappears too?”
I froze. My stomach dropped.
Aaron told her? Or she snooped? Either way, she knew too much.
