Because of their movement, it seemed as if the people on the canvas were coming to life, looking with cold, understanding eyes straight into the soul. He held a spear that almost fell from his hand in a deadly flight, but he did not look at the enemy, but at the viewer. There seemed to be some condemnation in his eyes. Or not?
