Instead of blood... Millions of black hands reached out from inside its body. Each one grasped toward Kael and Rhydian.

“Then we move forward, but eyes wide. Every shadow could be our enemy.” The ground beneath them trembled as they approached the gateway the spirit guide had revealed a massive arch of obsidian, carved with runes that pulsed with an otherworldly light. Beyond it lay the Abyss proper, a churning void that seemed alive, tendrils of black energy curling outward like reaching fingers.

“It’s the Abyss—opening for us, for the trinity, for her.” The spire pulsed, the runes flaring, and the sand parted, not a gate but a path, glowing black, leading down, not desert but void, the chaos beyond, the Veil’s edge, the Abyss’s heart, its shades waiting, their hum a chant, not judgment but truth: lock, spark, flame, void, choose or be chosen. The bond burned, Lucian’s voice, "we’re with you," his hand tight, Lyra’s shard warm, Mara’s nod, Killian’s shaky grin, and I stepped forward, the dagger raised, the mark screaming, the path glowing, the Abyss calling.

It’s the Meatpacking District, but underground—a labyrinth of unmarked doors and blacked-out windows. "Sanctuary detected," Echo announces. "The Abyss. Private club. No cameras. Cash only. Signal blockers active."

Or maybe I already am because of this girl I've been seeing in my episodes. "Come with me!" she said. "Where are we going?" I asked. "Do you want to know the truth? Follow me!" she replied. She's not a ghost. Well, not that I know of. She seemed normal to me. She's petite. She has long, ebony-black hair and white complexion and her cheek's a little chubby. The most remarkable thing about her is her eyes. When you look at her deep, mysterious brown eyes, no matter how saddened you're with this fantasy, a sudden feeling of calmness takes over you.
