Adrian sat beside her, scrolling through his phone, managing the storm with surgical precision.
“They’ll come crawling back,” he said without looking up. “The brands, the networks. When they see the numbers on this single, when they realize your so-called fragility is the very reason people can’t look away, they’ll beg.”
“I don’t want them to beg,” she murmured, eyes half-closed. “I just want to sing.”
His hand found hers on the cushion, fingers brushing against the bandage. “Then sing. I’ll handle the rest.”
