The Alpha's Cursed Mate
We strolled in silence towards the house until he stopped us in our strides and turned to face me.
"Are you alright?" his concerned eyes met mine, scanning my deadpan face.
Was I alright, obviously, I'm fine.
"I'm alright," I answered instead of fine, people understand what fine means, the direct opposite.
His eyes appeared to narrow while I turned away and stared at the open lake. Surrounding the lake, lay a rigid, fir forest, which stretched far past the mountainous boundaries - rising high, around the solitary lake.
I could also site the waterfall from up here. It was indeed a surreal scenery I thought as I breathed in the smell of freshness in the air.
