Elder goes into hunter mode, walking half crouched down to keep the animals from running away. I was paying attention to his every move, the way he was putting his paws, his slow walking, avoiding stepping on a leaf or a branch so he wouldn't make noise, camouflaging himself with the grass. Elder was already close to a deer, which ate without knowing anything. There came a moment when I felt sorry for him, but there also came a moment when I felt so hungry that I wanted to eat him.
Then it happened: Elder jumped on the animal, biting its neck. The other animals ran away from here. The deer whimpered. I ran up to them.
"It's almost there," Elder says to me.
