I shrugged. “I have been there all this time, is there a problem?” He smiled, shaking his head. “Oh girl, You see the glasses I wear?” I nodded. “Well it wasn’t always on me. I used to see just fine, until I started to strain my eyes, you see.”

I leaned back against the door, eyes nearly fluttering at the sound of his voice, the warm breath from his mouth. I stared at him pointedly, forcing my voice to sound firm, but it only came out as a whisper. “Then I guess you missed one tiny detail about me, Mr. Stalker.” The glasses only protected my eyes from screens because I couldn’t stare at a bright screen for too long without black spots in my vision. So I didn’t have it on all the time. Amusement flickered in Alaric’s eyes and he let out an amused breath which had no damn business causing my core to pulsate.

A few strands of his hair escaped the bun he had gathered it into, falling over his face. Bones poked his cheeks as if he was gritting his teeth. The male had never smiled at all that she could remember. He was always detached. "Does he ever smile?" Isolde asked Draco, her eyes still pinned on Alfos. His eyes were glittering like hers now. His raven hair glowed under the candles and lanterns in the space. Why do they have the same type of hair and eye color? "He rarely does," Draco hummed, his eyes ghosting over Alfos. He watched him fiddle with the goblet in his hand.
