The Mafia’s Reckoning

The Mafia’s Reckoning

Alex gritted his teeth as he grabbed the rungs and started climbing. “Alex—” “Go,” he ordered. “I’ll be right behind you.” She hesitated, then climbed. Each rung cut into her hands, muscles screaming. The journal was tied to her hip. The flash drive was tucked into her bra-burning like a brand. When she reached the top, moonlight hit her face like a baptism. They’d emerged in the middle of a forest clearing—the old trees whispering in the wind, oblivious to the hell they’d just crawled from.

Divorced My CEO Husband, He Came Begging

Divorced My CEO Husband, He Came Begging

The world tilted, gravity pulling me backward toward empty air. Then a blur of movement. A body slamming into Daniel, knocking him sideways and away from me. But the momentum was already in motion. I felt myself falling, arms pinwheeling uselessly, a scream caught in my throat. A hand shot out, catching my wrist in an iron grip. My shoulder wrenched painfully as my fall stopped abruptly, my body dangling half over the edge. Dust and pebbles showered down below me. I looked up into Alex's eyes, wide with panic as he held onto me. His face was red with exertion, a vein standing out on his forehead.

The book is insanely interesting. At first, it starts like all the other novels of this genre, but quickly deviates from the clichés by being actually true to reality in terms of abusers and their behavior. The author also brilliantly addresses the reality of the "savior" trope. It's refreshing af

Totally riveting!!! Fully developed characters and unexpected plot twists with satisfying resolutions. l love that the main characters are not perfect. They are flawed despite their wealth and power which makes the novel realistic. I hate that it has to end. I'm reading the last 2 chapters tonight.

The Lonely God

The Lonely God

-HER- After some moments, I find myself peeking inside the well just like yesterday. A rough and cold hand pulls me inside before I am sucked inside the well by the gravity. This time, I fall willingly. I close my eyes and anticipate the fall. The sound of the wind whooshing past my ears is the same as that of yesterday. The sense of uprightness is lost. I can only feel myself falling before the ground makes its presence known to me when I feel it’s hardness under my feet.

Let Her Fall

Let Her Fall

"That's just impossible. How could it be you? It absolutely can't be! What kind of joke is this?" However, her swaying body betrayed her panicked emotions. She braced herself against the desk and made a phone call. Her voice was hoarse, nearly unrecognizable. "I want you to look into where Felix lived as a child and send me all his childhood photos. I want to see all his information in an hour!" After that, she collapsed into the chair and repeatedly muttered, "What kind of joke is this…" Just then, Michael came to find Natalie while holding a booklet excitedly.

Healing with the monster

Healing with the monster

With a powerful, synchronized shove, the heavy typewriter slipped out of its dark cavity in the underbelly, vanishing into the rushing shadow of the tall grass below with a muffled, heavy thud. An instant later, we followed the machine. I let go of the stabilizer bar, allowing the momentum to pitch me out from under the chassis. I dropped from the moving axle frames into the deep, weed-choked drainage ditches of the outer suburbs, my body rolling over and over through the cool, damp clay and thick elephant grass. The impact knocked the wind from my lungs, but the soft earth swallowed the violence of the fall.

Love Stitched In Rivalry

Love Stitched In Rivalry

Chapter 1 ALEX P.O.V The picture looks even worse on paper. I stand at the window of my office, thirty two floors up, clutching the Commerce Today newspaper as I read through the publication. Below me, the city keeps moving. People hurry along the sidewalks to get home. Everything continues normally, indifferent to the quiet mess in my life. "Hawthorne's flopped collection." That's the headline they chose this time. Of all the ways they could have said it, that is what they went with. "A flopped collection"

Bloodscript: Survival Game of the Reborn

Bloodscript: Survival Game of the Reborn

Something in his expression shifted as his gaze tracked the ruin of the billboard, then the line from there to me. Right. He’d just seen me drop a set piece on his people. Again. He hissed, frustrated and a flicker of wariness mixing in his eyes. “It’s just gravity,” I said under my breath. “I didn’t invent it.” My hands were shaking now that the adrenaline spike was fading. My shoulders burned. A bruise was already blossoming across my palm, where the block had slammed into it on release. Across the way, Jax pushed himself up from a crouch behind a low wall, ash and glass dusted through his hair. His chest heaved with breathless laughter.

My Mate; My bully

My Mate; My bully

Jane’s heart fluttered when she glanced down at the long fall. "Are you afraid of heights?" he asked into the darkness. "Yes." "Come here," he said softly, pulling her into his arms. "How are we going to get down?" she asked, her fingernails digging into his forearms. He hauled her into an infant's cradle and jumped before she could protest. Her scream went silent from the wind, her body jolted when he landed on his feet, and gently put her down. She held her head and sat down on her butt. "Oh. My. God. I'm not cut out for this life, Alex."

The Alpha's Babysitter

The Alpha's Babysitter

Hazel balanced precariously on the chair, reaching up to dust the top shelves in Axel's office. The soft morning light filtered through the window, casting a warm glow over the room as she worked with careful precision, lost in the rhythm of her task. In slow motion, the chair wobbled beneath her, sending a jolt of panic through her as she teetered on the edge of falling. Before she could react, gravity took hold, and Hazel began to tumble backward, the world spinning around her in a dizzying blur.
