When I reached my office, I found Sean seated on my desk, leafing through my documents.
“If you’re looking for a deed to Alina,” I said, stepping inside, “she’s far too precious for her file to be kept there.”
He laughed and looked up.
I shut the door and took my seat behind the desk. “Really macho, calling yourself an Alpha in front of a human?”
“Cool, isn’t it?” he grinned.
“No…it’s stupid.”
He chuckled, then stood, hands slipping into his pockets. “Not as stupid as him—breaking into our border.”
