“Here, you’ll find half the school pretending to study on the lawn during exam week.”
“There’s a lawn?” Milo asked, looking around.
“There!” She pointed. Students lounged in groups, some playing Frisbee, others lying on blankets reading or talking.
“It feels like a mini town square,” I added.
“That’s the idea,” Ava said proudly. “It’s where everything meets; arts, sciences, drama, gossip, heartbreak…you name it.”
We continued walking, cutting through a stone path that curved behind the auditorium.
“Next…The Library of Hills.” Ava spread her hands as we approached the tall, modern building made of glass panels that reflected the sky. “This is where your soul will stay for the next four years.
