Alpha Academy #2 Novels & Stories

Her fur is like snow white, while her tail, ears, and paws are black. Allen huffed and started to run as well. She saw Ohm far ahead of her, and he turned left. When Allen got to the point where Ohm had turned, she couldn't see the Alpha anywhere. She stopped running, closed her eyes, and sniffed the air. When she finally caught the scent of Ohm, she broke out into a full run once again. Ten minutes later, Ohm was still nowhere to be seen. Allen looked around and realized she was lost. She stopped running once more, and when she sniffed the air, she couldn't smell Ohm's scent anymore because there was a new one, and it was strong. It was Alpha, and boy, did it smell really amazing, like home

“Don't play games with me, Hailey Randle. Answer the damn question.” Strangely, an alarm starts ringing throughout the academy, alerting the guards. The same thing has happened to me before. *Did the Alpha's son start the alarm?* Without a warning, he grabs my wrist and drags me to the window. “What are you doing?” I question. He doesn't reply. Instead, he secures my waist under the grip of his palm, jumps out of the window, and lands on the dry maple leaves. As we stand, his palm slides off my waist.

I'll go take them. The gates close behind me with a loud clang. The Alpha Academy looms ahead, looking all terrifying with the depressing paint and hulking structure. I can already perceive the bitter scent of power, dominance, and arrogance young Alphas usually emit. It makes me feel sick to my stomach. But my brother was never like that.

Then nodded. "Welcome to Alpha Academy." The gates opened with a loud groan. My feet moved before my brain caught up. Inside wasn’t a school. It was a warzone. Open yards stretched out in every direction. Warriors...real ones...moved in packs. Some trained with live weapons. Others fought in their wolf forms in rings carved into the ground. The air smelled of sweat, blood, fury. And dominance. Too much dominance. My wolf shrank. Silent. ‘This place… it’s not for us,’ she murmured.

Yet, after my brother’s death, I knew it wasn’t as perfect as people made it out to be. “Alex,” Ryland said, snapping me out of my thoughts. I glanced to the side and realized it was our turn to enter. With that, I reached into my backpack to retrieve Alexei’s ID, scanning it at the gate scanner. The car fell into a heavy silence as we watched the enormous gates begin to open. A robotic voice cut through the quiet, startling all three of us. “Welcome to Alpha Academy.” “Woah,” Mandy muttered in awe. “It feels like we’re in some sort of video game.”

Now those skills would be my salvation. "Registration f*e is $250." I handed over most of my remaining cash, praying my meager savings account in the States would sustain me until I could figure out a more permanent solution. "Welcome to Alpha Academy, Andrews," the administrator said, handing me a key. "Room 312. Try not to get eaten alive." As I walked through the campus, surrounded by young werewolf men who had no idea a female walked among them, I felt a flicker of hope for the first time since coming home.

I might as well get it over with. “Xaviera the Eighth wonder of the world!” Adeline hailed. “Stop” I laughed, leading them to a table a little further in the room. “Girl, you are trending!” Leesa said the moment we sat, flashing her phone before me. What? I grabbed it, and there it was. A picture of the Alpha and I dancing last night at the ball. The headline took me out. THE PLOT THICKENS: The Alpha's mate revealed to be someone other than the obvious choice.

God, I just don’t know if we’re ever going to get there. We spend the evening celebrating a variety of victories – Tony’s top marks, Rafe’s great win, Jesse’s first command, and my continuing enrollment at Alpha Academy by dint of fire tornado. A great deal of contraband whiskey goes around with lots of merriment and jokes – but the best part? The best part comes when everyone leaves and I crawl across the bed and collapse over Jackson’s bare chest.

"Come on, kid, otherwise we might be late." Riley grabbed her backpack as they left the house. Riley hopped into the passenger side of her dad's pickup truck. School was on the way to the administration buildings, so dad always gave her a ride. It only took about 5 minutes before they pulled up to Alpha Academy on the pack lands. Alpha Academy got the children ready for their life as a pack member and helped them figure out where they would fit in best. Riley has always been pushed towards doing more combat, although she did have a couple of administration classes in accounting and business, as well as health and healing. She knew she was destined to be sorted into patrols just like her mom.

It's even shining. Or is it my eyes? I close my eyes, opening it slowly, and yes, it's still sparkling as though it's brand new. Why can't things ever be normal in this academy? There's either white haired twins stalking you or an infuriating Alpha who's protective and yet mean to you. I do not recommend this academy. ‎ ‎"Please don't be cursed. Please don't be cursed," I silently pray as I reach for the parchment. ‎ ‎I touch it, looking around to see if anything odd will happen but everywhere is quiet.
