Lydia’s POV Rina stayed for an extra week at the Alpha’s castle, and it had to be one of the best weeks of my life. We laughed until our stomachs hurt, explored the halls and hidden corners I remembered from Kaela’s orientation, and ate like royalty. For someone fully human, this place was a surreal blend of nightmare and fantasy. She called it “Beauty and the Beast meets Dracula’s mansion”, and she wasn’t far off.

That face, those eyes, that feeling. I didn't dare to watch Kael and the girl kissing intimately under the moonlight any longer. I fled back home almost in a panic. Back home, I sat on the cold floor, unable to calm down for a long time. That girl's face flashed before my eyes repeatedly, like a ghost. It made me realize that this matter was far more terrifying and bizarre than I had imagined. My hands trembling, I took out my phone and sent emergency messages to several people. Half an hour later, my parents, Kael's mother Elara, and Kael's sister Rachel all rushed to my residence.

Monica gasped and looked at me with her wide eyes. All heads of the monster turned in our direction and growled at us. "Oh no!" Monica yelped and swung the bat in the air when the monster jumped. With our eyes closed, we waited for an attack to happen. I hugged Monica from the back and waited to feel the shredding pain on my skin, but there I felt nothing. Peeping with my right eye, I saw Mellon standing in front of us, making circles and hand signs in the air where a whooshing white smoke created a portal at the end of the hallway.

The area needs to be cleared first. “stay in your position, I repeat, stay in your position”, he announced. One woman from the tribe screamed when she saw a walking creature towards them. It was a seven feet tall amphibious monster. Blue green in color and has eight horns. The body looked like a dragon but its skin was slimy like an earth worm. The monster came from nowhere. Everyone was completely horrified. “move, move”, Adam commanded. The troops prepared their weapons. “fire”, Adam ordered. They fired the creature but to their disappointments, the monster wasn’t even bothered.

“Wrath will get you” He opens his palm and creates a ball of energy and sends it outside. At first, nothing happens. After a moment we heard heavy feet running and the two white cubs grew into monsters suddenly appear They are running to get us and they were twice as big as me and they immediately ran to us. While he is relaxed watching us taking his wine. We ran as fast as we could away from the monsters that he created. We run outside the room but it keeps on following us. They were fast because they have bigger steps than us. I spread my wings and grab Maria and fly before it reaches us. Their nails are too sharp enough to tear our flesh. “That was close,” Maria said.
